What is the point of letting me upload a tracking number if it doesn’t tell anybody??

Sometimes I get a “your package has been shipped” notification which includes a tracking number, sometimes not. I don’t know what makes the difference. :shrug:

I haven’t gotten an ebay item of WS in some time. HOWEVER, I do know that the tracking number shows if you go into your “my ebay” and “won auctions”. It doesn’t notify, but it is there.

Only once did I get a tracking number, it was in the My eBay Won section.

I just checked one of mine. While ebay didn’t notify me, the tracking number is under the item description in the Won Auctions section. I can click on it and it gives me detailed information about where it’s been and when.

Only bought one item, but I did indeed get an e-mail saying “Your package is on its way” with a tracking number. I usually get their e-mails, maybe other people are having them get blocked by spam filters?

For the people who HAVE gotten email from ebay saying an item is shipped, were your items shipped UPS or USPS?

I just got a message today from service@PayPal saying “Your package is on its way” with a Priority Mail tracking number. 😀

I use the tracking number shown on an item listed in the “Won” section of My eBay for UPS shipping. If I am getting an item with a choice of eyes, it always takes longer before it is shipped, so the tracking number doesn’t show up for about a week. This is the only way I have gotten the tracking info for UPS; I don’t recall getting the same PayPal notifications when using UPS as I do for Priority Mail.

UPS tracking numbers take longer in general because it is several days before I get around to uploading them.
