Question about unicorn print?

I got this print off of ebay and its the first time I’ve seen it. I was wondering if you could tell me anything about it?

It’s so sad, when I was a kid I had a whole bunch of these prints, I mean a bunch, like 15 or so, but over time I lost them. Back then I just knew I loved them, and they were really pretty. Now that I know who did them, I am even more upset that I lost them.

All Melody’s, but I didn’t know it at the time…but her scratch board work is unmistakable.

I’m trying to remember when I did this print… ’80 or ’81. Lying down animals were better to do because they fit the print format the best. I always did mother and baby made-up animals in school, even way back in elementary school, that was my signature subject, so naturally I did a mother and baby unicorn… believe it or not, this was a NEW SUBJECT in the stores at the time I did this print! Man, them was the days…Also,
there are two words hidden in the mother’s mane.I know, kinda corny, but I did stuff like that.

It’s date 81 so is that when they where printed or just when you did the original drawing? I’ll have to look for the words in her mane. I’m off to work night shift so I don’t have time to study it right now. It will give me something to do when I get home from work in the morning 😮

I have this print too. I’m going to have to look for the words. I also have a print of a protective mother unicorn with a baby. Any words in that one?

I think it says “Love unicorns”?
Do a negative of the picture and you can barely make it out. Of course I could be seeing things! 😆
