There was somebody on here who bid on a dinosaur (I think!) from an e-bay seller named Penny0745. She had listed it under the wrong name, removed it, relisted it, then said her son had taken the dino and offered a different Windstone instead, and eventually gave a refund.
Whoever it was that was the bidder there, could you let me know, here or in PM?
Thanks.

You’re welcome 🙂
May 3, 2007 at 3:03 pm #570025Yep. It was me. I’ve talked to SPark already. Thanks!
May 7, 2007 at 8:18 pm #570026…sheesh. I need to start keeping records of the names of people who send me problems, so that I can find the actual text of the complaint. Anybody recall what the story was with medieval mayhem? They’re insisting that it was a “monitor difference” that resulted in the wrong color being ordered, and I know perfectly well that monitor color had nothing to do with it. But I’d like to cite the correct colors and sculpt involved.
May 7, 2007 at 8:41 pm #570027I sent you that one. I had contacted them about a jade oriental dragon. I asked them if it was jade like the picture they had up or like the Emerald color. They wrote back and said that it was like the jade color. Come to find out after I had purchased it and a lot of money later it was the Emerald color. I wrote back and said this isn’t the dragon I wanted, and I wanted my money back (I also gave them a couple of options). They wrote back and said that if I wanted my money back (because they didn’t want to do the other options)then I would need to contact them again. I gave up on them because they still haven’t contacted me.
May 7, 2007 at 8:43 pm #570028That’s lousy. And they even have some good prices. 😕
May 7, 2007 at 8:57 pm #570029Ah!
Well honestly… the thing is LABELED as jade, even if it’s emerald. All orientals are labeled jade, regardless of the actual color, just like all western dragons are labeled as emerald, even if they’re jade.
I know it’s very disappointing, but… unless you are here, on this forum, nobody knows the difference between jade and emerald. I’m afraid in this case I’m going to have to take their name off. They weren’t being dishonest, they answered your question according to the label printed on the dragon, which said jade.
(I know they were still kind of unhelpful, frankly my conversation with the lady there, she’s awfully full of herself… but they were actually being honest, and they have their returns policy posted right on their website.)
May 7, 2007 at 9:08 pm #570030But the fact that I had asked them if the actual dragon was like the picture or closer to Emerald and the answer was jade, then that is false advertising. And they would know if they sell the emerald dragons.
May 7, 2007 at 9:10 pm #570031Their explanation of “monitor difference” is actually acceptable there. It may very well have looked like jade on your monitor, and like emerald on their computer. And most people who sell the dragons don’t know anything about the differences in colors, even if they sell both emerald and jade. They were going by what Windstone told them, which was that the oriental was jade.
Sorry.
May 7, 2007 at 9:13 pm #570032I know what Jade looks like and what Emerald looks like. I even compared the stores picture to the Jade/emerald picture on the forum. The picture was closer to jade, but the dragon I received was Emerald.

Sorry.
What about the fiasco with trying to return for their money back? Wouldn’t that alone, be reason to steer clear? I was under the assumption this is for the bad/black list. I think a fair warning would be warranted.
