I think it’s just the colors are almost an exact match for the Dallas I still have. Of course this beauty doesn’t have black hooves and a blaze down her face like Dallas.

I still have to finish the ears and lighten the nose a bit. She sure was fun to paint!!

if you are dealing with a one main color, you can take a color slightly lighter(just add white to the main color you are using) and lightly dry brush over it.
take a brush that is a round one with stiff bristles(although i am bad and i use my good flat brushes) put a little paint onto your brush, then on a piece of throw away fabric, push down and make circles with your brush to take of extra paint and work the paint evenly into the bristles. Then you just lightly go over your pyo. it just adds a little highlight but keeps your base color and really gives it the look of real fur.(at least this is the way i do it)

Oh Ski she is lovely! I love the accents and antiquing in the mane! Very nice!

Only thing I can say… and this is from a REAL horse perspective… just remember she’s a Unicorn and they can be colored however they want! 😆

but Palominos have grey shading on their muzzles and aruond their eyes… It’s the dark skin showing through…. so if you are going for a real horse palomino… that might be something you want to try.

Only other thing I might do is give her some white on her face… just a star or blaze or something. btu that’s me. ^.^

She is lovely! I love the color golden she is!!! 😀

You know… perhaps you can paint me a Uni at some point… 😈

Thank you guys!! The shading sounds kinda hard, but darkening the muzzle and eyes should not be a problem. 🙂
