October 11, 2010 at 11:56 am #828594Hi Miss Mel! Sorry to bug you at such an ugly cow milking time of morning as my g’pa would say… and it is an ugly time of morning, so I do apologize, My boys Ethan and Sean will be turning 15 near the end of November around Thanksgiving. They were wondering if there might be any pyo small dragons released aroung that time that they might be able to but their names on. They’ve been very patient but between school, learnigng to drive (yes they can drive at 14 in Idaho 0-o), cross country practice and meets, homework, scouting and Eagle Scout Projects and religious duties and community service they are rearly on line when the dragons are realeased, Neither am I for that matter. Is ther anything you might be able to recommend? So far that’s all they want for their birthday-unless there happens to be on phoenix and one dragon – phoenix for E and dragon for S? I know it’s a long shot with everyone wanting them, but I told the boys I’d ask since they’re going through a shy phase and are embarrassed to ask. They also like to know about summer jubs at the factory if I came along to supervise… How’s that for a gob of questions before you’ve even had your morning coffee? Thanks for you time and patience, I most certainly appreciate all you do for my almost grown up boys. 😀

October 11, 2010 at 8:41 pm #828595I don’t know if Windstone would be able to oblidge a summer job request… not that I work there, but I’ve been barking up that tree for years 😳 I’m just assuming they already have enough going on, plus there are always certain laws that apply to minors in the workforce I’m sure Windstone, like every other comany, just can’t get around.
As for the PYOs, for a suggestion, you could always do what most of us have to do and see if someone might be kind enough to keep an eye out in the store on your behalf? I have shared my login with a few members whom I personally trust with that sort of information and it has been awesome for me and I’m sure many others. It would be nice if we could make reservations ahead of time for PYOs and other items, but so far Windstone doesn’t offer that sort of thing as far as I am aware.
Keep in mind, I wouldn’t just suggest sharing that kind of personal information with just anyone of course, but that’s what most of us have had to do in desperate circumstances. (Like for me when I am in I HAVE TO HAVE IT! mode 😆 )Also, you can always ask Susie to be placed on the waiting lists. Normally, I’m not lucky to be online at just the right time and I don’t get email alerts or anything like that, so the waiting lists aren’t particularly useful to me. That’s why I sometimes I am lucky enough to have a few watchful eyes to help me out. That’s how I was lucky enough to get one of the Phoenix’s because a very AMAZING forum member grabbed one on my behalf.
That’s just my 2 cents anyway. Good luck twindragons

We need to figure out some way to let folks who can’t be online all the time get these things! There is a waiting list for most items; you can email Susie: Susie (at) windstoneeditions (dot) com and ask to be put on the notification list for upcoming things.
However this won’t help if you aren’t online to get the notification, promptly go to the store and buy what you were waiting for!
The phoenixes should come out in large numbers soon as we start casting them, because we we will have about 12 molds online at once. should be no shortage.
I don’t think they are casting pyos at the moment because we are getting into the Christmas crunch and need stock for retail stores.Quote:They also like to know about summer jubs at the factory if I came along to supervise… How’s that for a gob of questions before you’ve even had your morning coffee? Unfortunately, Windstone isn’t the sort of place that can hire summer help!
All of our jobs require a lot of training before the person can do it, and because we need to invest so much in training, we only consider hiring permanent, full time people.
Sounds like your kids have more than enough to do! Let ’em relax over summer! -
