and about Emu’s.Funny short story:
We got to go to the wild safari park in Oregon. We were in a rental car that was this lovely champaign color.
Well they have a lot of emu’s there one three of them LOOOVED the car. one was looking at the dots on the window and endlessly tried to peck and swallow them(oh that was funny to watch) and one liked sticking it’s head in the windows……..but the third..well it became completely infatuated with the car. you see it was THAT time of the season, and this one was in love with the color of the car. It scooted close and ruuuubbbbed it’s chest all along the car, cooing and making this funny up and down motion with it’s head. When we tried to move it sat so that it’s feet were in between the back and front tires…and under the car….then continued rubbing against the car. we had to scoot him away so we could drive off with out running his feet over.
I even have some video of it.Oh, I’d love to see that video!
We had a cute moment like that, but with a zebra. He just came along and scratched his eye on the side mirror. By the time we turned the video on on the camera, he was done. I guess the round New Beetle mirrors are great for scratching!
