I wouldn’t mind if the first batch is one per customer. But I know I will go crazy trying to decide on the eye color I want ! 😀
June 5, 2010 at 6:43 am #816712I voted to wait for a large batch…But…
I still think the one per rule is the right way to go. Say there is atleast 20 of us interested (Conservative? Maybe.) in getting one on the forums alone. But then you have to think of the people who lurk who want them too. And the people who have no idea the forums even exist.
Now, if that is a problem for some of us, then most likely we have a close friend or person we have done business with before who would be happy to pick one up for us. Which is nice…But then again, that fairness issue comes into play. Say WE waits until they have a batch of 75 or so…Then they put them in the store in ONE bunch (Which also makes the one per more fair actually. Say you split those 75 into 3 groups? Then people can buy 1 of each group. AND have their friends get one of each group, making the lucky person on the forums with enough friends, able to get atleast 6, if they are real lucky and that is with the help of just one friend.)
Go ahead if you think I am being to logical and say so. But honestly, if those 75 were to have some left at the end of 7 days, then lift the one per if you like. But to me I still see the one per being more fair to wait for more than 10 or 15 a batch…Or even 25. 😕And FYI, I am one who would like to have more than 1 and closer to about 5. But, when they come out, I would be satisfied with 1. 😀

I ditto this exactly. I have missed every batch lately. If there are many small batches, people who already got one from the 1st small batch can get one from the 2nd small batch, too. If we wait till there are lots, less people will drop a whole lot of money at once to get 3 or 4.
June 5, 2010 at 2:02 pm #816714Hmmmmm, the PYO unicorns were 2 per customer at one point. How about something like that

That was for the slightly damaged ones. But that’s a possibility.
June 9, 2010 at 5:48 pm #816716I think a very large batch of one per customer for the first batch would be best. Otherwise serious commission people are likely to buy a lot for their customers and people who want to paint them for themselves will be left in the dust. Or so I imagine 😥 😀 I’ve always thought the one per customer rule for new pieces was fair but that we just needed larger batches
June 10, 2010 at 3:13 pm #816717I’ll second that. PYOs have been one per person since I joined the forum (except the muses) and I’ve yet to actually see one available to purchase, let alone purchase any – again, except the muses. In spite of a number of threads I’ve seen of keepers, griffins, unicorns, being available… dwindling…. gone. So a larger starting batch would be helpful so that they don’t all vanish in an hour or so and the buyers don’t have to hope they hit at the right instant or miss the lot.
I’d like a phoenix. And a griffin. And a unicorn, kirin, and dragon.
June 10, 2010 at 5:56 pm #816718I LOVE the one per customer rule, there are so many figurines I wouldn’t have right now if it weren’t for that rule!! I’d also like to see a large batch that is one per customer, then everyone could have one to work on.
