Please visit My Webpage to see my art and PYO's that I've done in the past!December 18, 2010 at 6:48 pm #833943I got a PYO Griffin today that I had ordered off of Ebay.. and it’s broken. I’m not sure if this person is on the forums or not, but he/she had a few PYO Griffins on Ebay that I KNOW got bid on. I got this tiny package in the mail and I immediately wondered what the heck it could be… It was in a package exactly the size of the Griffin itself with a few packing peanuts.
This may bother me more because i make SURE everything that I ship could fall off a cliff and still be whole, but it REALLY bothered me. In any case, I wondered if anyone else from the forum won the other 2 Griffins and if you got them in the same shape I did. I’m definitely going to demand a refund on this one.
This is the seller – he/she has 100% feedback with over 500 buy/sells so I’m really surprised that she/he made such a fatal mistake.
http://myworld.ebay.com/notimehere/EDIT : Notimehere was completely understanding and very sweet. She ended up refunding my money as soon as she saw the pictures of the broken item, no other questions asked. Although I was upset that the packaging wasn’t good, she was very quick to resolve the issue, and for that alone I would recommend buying from her. Just remind her to double box 😉
Images of the break – I cannot fix this.

December 19, 2010 at 12:44 am #833945Yeah :/ The seller responded to me, saying that the other two pieces that she sent were packaged the same way and arrived with no issues. I did tell her that in the future she should double box windstones or this will happen again. Her listing mentioned how she takes great care when packaging for shipping so I didn’t think to make SURE that it would be double boxed – I assumed that she knew what she was doing. Well I won’t be assuming that again!
I really wish people knew how to package Windstones well.. this is all a big hassle I didn’t need :/

That really sucks Yeral. If you want to pay the shipping, send it my way and I can try and fix it for you if the seller doesn’t reimburse you.
(I don’t mind doing repairs if I don’t have to repaint them) 😆

Ooh! I may take you up on that! I was going to just try to repair it myself, paint it, and then sell it at a bargain price (15 bucks more than I bought it for or something) – but we’ll see what happens with the seller first 🙂
Also, I bet your repairs would look a lot better than my attempts 😆

Please visit My Webpage to see my art and PYO's that I've done in the past!December 19, 2010 at 1:30 am #833948you should definitely be able to get a refund for that. If the seller didn’t pack it right and it got broken the post office isn’t going to take responsibility for it. In a dispute ebay/paypal will almost certainly side with you if she packed it in one box with a few packing peanuts. Doesn’t matter if the other two pieces arrived safely… this one obviously wasn’t packed right…. I’ve had to deal with this sort of situation twice now and i got a refund in both cases even after the seller said they wouldn’t refund for it since they insured it. Good luck, i hope it all works out. I have sore spot for this type of situation since i’ve been in it myself a few times
December 19, 2010 at 6:21 am #833949Well the seller did get back to me – she’s been really super nice about it and is obviously bending over backwards trying to fix it. I’m pretty confident that I’ll be getting a refund sometime next week.

Read my books! Volume 1 and 2 of A Dragon Medley are available now.

http://www.sarahjestin.com/feedbacklists.htmDecember 19, 2010 at 5:05 pm #833951Yeah, I just put the broken pieces in a bag separate from the rest of the piece and I noticed that the wing has a fairly broad chunk sheared off and I can’t find the pieces to that – it’s pretty much just a thin area of detail that’s gone :/ Not sure how that can be fixed, but hopefully taking the pieces away from the sculpt will help prevent any further damage..

December 23, 2010 at 5:29 am #833953Okay I will tell you this. The seller has no choice. Whether insured not insured it really does not matter anymore. Okay seller wants you to think that they are doing you a favor. Trust me they have to make it right.
With eBay’s new rules the seller is responsible to get the item to you in the same condition it was in when they sold it to you. This is a fact now. The sellers that are on eBay that are icons their are not getting with the program. They get pissed at me when I tell them that is is there responsibility to not only get it to me but to insure the item as well. If they do not they are on the hook not you.
I have had to grow some balls as they say and stomped a few lately by leaving bad feed back because they were down right rude to me and even threatened me and called me names. Well I do not respond to people that do that. Because they do not deserve a response. One told me to wait a week to get my money back and lied to me about not having the item. By god it was running up for sale for more money than I did a buy it now on 3 weeks before — there it was on eBay under her name as the seller as the lies poured out of her mouth! I called eBay had them read the email from her and gave them the item number on that same item up for sale on the site. In 2 hours time I had my 225.00 dollars back in my Pay Pal account. The threatening emails started. I read them she threatened to sue me and black ball me from all her sites tell her friends. Like I care. Heck I want you to tell all your friends lady. Cause I am soooooooo tire of being taken. No more MS nice guy. Clean up your act. Next a seller demanding I revise a neutral . Well let me see how you reacted when I told you the item broke. Read that email that you sent me and tell me in all honesty that you were nice about this happening to the item and me as a customer. I never heard from him again. Third was a scammer she put up a windstone before seeing what hey sold for. I saw it come up did a buy it now instantly. About 3O minutes later she wanted to cancel the transaction. Why she said the item broke–well so for the price she sold for I could see why it broke. I asked for a picture of the broken item. Hump no picture? Oh you threw it out already. Well then no picture no cancellation. Well I got called names again. Thing is I think I am starting to like being called names! She called me a cunt, well so that may be true I wrote her back but the difference between me and you was that I am a honest one–you are not. Please dear do not bother me again with such nonsense. Got ta love them! 😀 poodlesforyouwindstonefan

December 24, 2010 at 9:44 am #833955Thank you twindragonsmum! But I have been bad again I put up a auction on eBay about this very thing. This seller is now selling this item under a different name. I just love when they do that. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I am poodlesforyou. Check out my auction by searching the word windstone. You will now come up with my auction. This auction has no picture and says READ at the end. I don’t actually think that for .99 I could teach this seller what it takes some a lifetime to learn and some never do. (ethics)But it was catchy so worth a try. I am not a power seller but for some reason eBay decided to give me that title. Something that they may regret. Hey–the truth is the truth. Will it set me free I don’t know but it could stop others from being a victim too, so the .60 that this cost me to do will be worth it.
