Many people like to use Elmers white glue or a similar glue by another manufacturer.

http://www.sarahjestin.com/feedbacklists.htmJune 6, 2025 at 2:20 pm #1694703I’m sorry we don’t have a complete or up-to-date eye color chart for PYO’s. Its hard to keep up-to-date because the colors tend to vary from batch to batch. I just looked in a cup of light green eyes and there were 4 different slight variations of tone!
If anyone is in a pickle trying to choose their eye color, please choose the one you think might work the best on the order, then In the Customer Notes (this field is below the shipping address fields when you are placing the order) put a note telling me to look for an email from you with details about eye color, and then email a message to service@windstoneditions.com with a description or a picture of what you are trying to match. When we fill the order we will try to send eyes that will do the job. We may not have the exact color that you want, but we’ll do our best.
If your PYO color scheme changes and the eyes you chose no longer match and you are in the US, I can mail you a new set of eyes at no charge. If you are not in the US, I may need to charge you for postage to send replacement eyes.
I cannot send out dozens of eyes for a PYO, but I can send an extra pair for one piece. You may keep extras until you are sure you will never use them and then mail them back to us.
September 9, 2025 at 6:06 pm #1696636Someone just asked me about jewel sizes and I thought I’d post my reply here for everyone to refer to:
The sizes of the jewels are a bit confusing!
In house, we’ve named them sizes 1, 2, 3, and 4.Here some guidelines:
Our #1 (smallest jewel) is size PP18 or SS8 and is 240-2.50 mm across
Our #2 jewel is size PP24 or SS12 and is 3.0-3.2 mm across
Our #3 jewel is size SS19 (PP32 or PP33 will work, they are slightly smaller) and is 4.40-4.6 mm across
Our #4 jewel (the largest we use) is size SS24 and is 5.27-5.44 mm acrossI think that the divots on the Barong take the PP24 (somewhere along the line someone here reversed it to be 24PP) size jewel. The tiny PP18 jewels will fit almost anywhere if you want to bling something up.
The style we use is a “point back chaton” and we use the “foil back” kind – a jewel you can see through won’t look good when glued onto something.
If you are looking for crystals like the kind we use, Dreamtime Creations is a pretty good source for small amounts in many colors. Jewelry Supply may have them as well.
We use white glue (like Elmers) to glue in jewels and eyes. They stick well as long as no one tries to pick them out!
Have fun with bling!
