After I don’t know how long, here’s my second dragon. I tried a new pearl scellant and it changed the colors, so I had to add another coat 😥 How frustrating.

        I call him Sapphire.

I posted other pictures in my gallery.[/img]

He looks like a bandit with that dark mask! Very cute though…love the side scales the best!

That’s a killer piece! I do have but one suggestion…and that is to use a nice darker blue to antique it. Do that and it’ll be as awesome as a production piece. Very well done blue dragon you got here!

He certainly is sapphire. I like his tail best.

Yes, antiquing for more detail and contrast, that’s what he needs! But I love the deeper, navy blue colour. Or admiral blue, or whatever you call it. 😉

Wow! He is beautiful! And painted all in the lines and stuff! Perfect!

The flash is making the contrast a lot stronger. The mask around the eyes doesn’t look that dark in person.

I tried antiquing in a small part of the leg, and it didn’t do much except make it look messy, so I dunno. I’ve never antiqued before, so I might have done it wrong. When I wiped down, I ended up removing almost everything because the crevasses looked too dark.

I had this problem when I very first started doing PYOs too. The trick is to use a color that is just a shade darker than the body color. Just a touch darker seems to work best.
