Putting Out Feelers for Those Willing Take A Commission for 3 or 4 PYO Chickens

Hi guys,

I’m back seeking more PYO chickens. I’ve had a bad couple of years in terms of my flock, and I lost my most beloved hen of all (think the equivalent of losing a dog or more) this past Sunday, and I’m just devastated. T_T I want to commission a PYO of her, as well as of my beloved boy I lost a year ago last week, and my beautiful bonded pair of lovelies that went at different times.

If anyone is interested please contact me. It would be nice to see work samples on the hen and rooster sculpts, or just sample photos in general. Looking for realistic paint jobs with good detail and an ability to make them look alive/thoughtful/soulful.

Thanks so much to anyone who reads. This forum has been a great comfort to me over the years and I’m sorry I haven’t been able to participate more. Money has been tight and that makes it hard.

Has anyone ever made a complete PYO eye color chart with pictures? I’m going to order the PYOs but I’m stuck on the eye choices…I know there’s the official Windstone one that is linked on all the PYO pages, but it’s missing some of the colors.

I’m sorry we don’t have a complete or up-to-date eye color chart for PYO’s. Its hard to keep up-to-date because the colors tend to vary from batch to batch. I just looked in a cup of light green eyes and there were 4 different slight variations of tone!

I’ve already talked to Amy, however if anyone else is in a pickle trying to choose their eye color, please choose the one you think might work the best on the order, then In the Customer Notes (this field is below the shipping address fields when you are placing the order) put a note telling me to look for an email from you with details about eye color, and then email a message to service@windstoneditions.com with a description or a picture of what you are trying to match. When we fill the order we will try to send eyes that will do the job. We may not have the exact color that you want, but we’ll do our best.

I cannot send out dozens of eyes for a PYO, but I can send an extra pair for one piece. You may keep extras until you are sure you will never use them and then mail them back to us.

Sorry for the delay, everybody. Been feeling overwhelmed a lot. I got the order placed for two of the PYOs and sent the reference photos to Susie for her to help pick out the best eyes.
