Each shell has to be carefully prepped and packed so they can survive moldmaking and baking, then I start forming the clay into a dragonsnail. 😀 Oh GB! I put a surprise into your box…so there’s three things in there, not just two. 😉
April 1, 2008 at 1:23 pm #664392Aw purplecat, how sweet of you! Now I’m even more impatient to see the box!
Speaking of sweets, you do like chocolate, right? If somebody’s nice to me I always want to be nice back 😳 .April 1, 2008 at 1:25 pm #664393Lol..you dont have to. Although yes, i love white chocolate, I’m not so big on the milk chocolate though. I just hope you like it! 😆
April 1, 2008 at 1:27 pm #664394White chocolate – will do. 😉
April 1, 2008 at 3:43 pm #664395I wonder if chocolate from Switzerland is better than what’s in the US. I’m thinking it probably will be! 😀 Lucky you purplecat!
Are you gonna have any Murex dragons available soon? I think I need to get one of those. One in the seafoam coloration would be marvy!
April 1, 2008 at 3:50 pm #664396I should be doing a pour tonight, and have several of them if everything goes well. I have several orders I’m needing sculpts to paint for, so a pour tonight is a definate. I also have another new dragonsnail I finished last night, but she’s in moldmaking. For those of you who know what a Tonna Oleria shell is, she’ll be called my “Big Tonna Snaildragon” because I have a little Tonna shell that I’ll be making a smaller dragonsnail in. 🙂 I’ll have Uglitoads too once I get a pour done, although I’m probably the only one excited about those guys! 😆
April 1, 2008 at 4:26 pm #664397What are Uglitoads? Ugly toad-like creatures?
April 1, 2008 at 4:56 pm #664398Lol..the in-progress pics are in my journal, you’ll have to scroll down a bit to find them, but it’s a super fat winged toad with curling horns..and a sad face. 🙂 Super weird, but I luvs them anyhow. 😀
April 1, 2008 at 5:16 pm #664399I like it so far! He’s got a great shape, and I like the texture going on with his head and horns. I’m sure he’ll look awesome once he’s done.
April 1, 2008 at 5:21 pm #664400The uglitoad looks interesting… I can’t wait to see a finished one. And yay for another dragonsnail! Do you know what color you’ll do?
April 1, 2008 at 5:25 pm #664401Blue, Seafoam and Sandstone most likely on the Big Tonna Dragonsnail…Probably the same for the Murex’s too. 😀 😀
The uglitoads will probably come in a bronze color with pearly wings. I’ll probably do some bizarre colors too. 😀 😛
April 1, 2008 at 5:33 pm #664402Yes, do some seafoam Murex dragons! Those will look nice in that coloration.
I’m anxious to see a completed Uglitoad too. I need to decide which I need to save up for first!April 1, 2008 at 5:37 pm #664403The uglitoad looks interesting so far…I can’t wait to see a finished one. 😀
April 1, 2008 at 6:07 pm #664404The uglitoad is BIG!!! Just to warn you…he hangs off my hand when I hold him. When I get a finished one, I’ll post some comparison pics. the murex is a smaller one, similar in size to the moonshell.
April 1, 2008 at 6:37 pm #664405Big is good!
