Those eyes are cool and so are the colors on the snail… 😉

November 11, 2008 at 6:33 am #664722That dragonsnail is great, and I love the slit eyes.

twindragonsmum 😀
all the eyes in my sculpts right now are clear resin, with a solid backing. 😀 And thank you everyone for all your opinions, I really love reading them! 😀
November 11, 2008 at 5:15 pm #664724I’m really looking forward to seeing the rising dragonsnail! And the featherturtle. And the bobtail feathercat. 😀
I work much the same way, I have to have at least three or four (if not ten XD ) projects going simultaneously and bounce between them, so I won’t get bored. I think I have ADD when it comes to art. ^_~ But I figure, if it works it works!
Oh, and I think the slit eyes would depend on the sculpt, and on the coloring…I’m not fond of the slit eyes in that particular color, even though it does go good with the dragon. But then, I’m fussy. ^_^;; I think it could work well though!
November 12, 2008 at 2:01 am #664725I love the slit eyes, but for mine, I just loved how the red eyes looked with the shell. I do really love my Pipedream, but this one is equally amazing! I must say I feel really excited that we have matching mirrored OOAK Tona Pipedreams Koishii! They truly are FREAKIN BAD ASS! 😀

He looks like a Halloween dragon to me. 🙂

November 17, 2008 at 10:50 pm #664732I guess I missed the dragon festival thingy. 😥 I do like the slit eyes on that sculpt, as well as the paint job. I love a couple of the new feathercats, too. I’ll have to save my pennies for one.
November 17, 2008 at 11:48 pm #664733I got all my new pretties and I’ll be posting up some pics of my Twitter Armada soon! They are all breathtaking! Thank you so much purplecat and Koishii!!!

November 18, 2008 at 1:55 am #664735spent most of today painting for orders, and I did a TON of fairies! I needed quite a few fairies for orders, and did a couple new colors while I was painting them anyway. There should be two or three new colors coming soon. I do have some sketches to share, one done tonight, and two from yesterday.
I never did get past some sculpting issues with the dragonmouse…his eyes, cheeks and front feet never pleased me entirely…so I won’t be producing them, at least not yet. Believe me, it’s for you guys, I swear! I would just like to get more accurate anatomy for him before I put them out there for purchase. There is one out there…the albino one, which I gave as a gift..and the one Koishii painted, but that will be it, unless I decide to paint the couple blank ones I have cast in my workshop. I plan to redesign the little guy, and perhaps start a new sculpt for that critter. I have a couple critters I’d like to start sculpts of soon, that just need to be re-approached with a better understanding than I had the first time. The ones I’m considering revisiting are the Chirpmunk, Winged Fox, and the Dragonmouse. All three I think are good concepts, they just need some more attention.
Just a sketch. In my story I work on sometimes, they ride Ixis….maned elk.
Considering sculpting this, a revisit to the winged fox concept
Inking practice
A critter I made up…
