          Sooooooooooo……..

I convinced PC to cast me ONE more Tona dragons. I wanted a pipe dream of my own……..but with special eyes…………

This one is called Mirror PipeDream since i reversed the colors, keeping the one painted for Drag0n OOAK.

I am personally curious to know what everyone feels about the slit eyes….they are available to me, but I tend to prefer the round pupils. Opinions? 😀

that is one badass dragon and I LOVE IT!

The eyes go well with that dragon

but I do prefer the round pupil eyes

I like the slit eyes, but it would depend on the piece. On this one, I think it looks neat! They give a bit more of a reptilian feel to the piece to me (hence the ‘depends on the piece’ part ).

Hrrrmmmm… I like the slitted eys on that tonna, but I think it would depend on the sculpt.

                So PC…..
Now that the dragon festival is done what’s up next? (thinks of piece from the sneaka peaka page) 😈

Well…I plan on getting everyone’s orders tidied up and sent out first of all. Then, I may do some moonshell colors to match the new rufas. Then for a couple weeks I’d like to work on sketching, inking and watercoloring. The time spent on sketching will help me with my anatomy…and improves the overall quality of my work. If I get some decent watercolors, I may put them up for sale on the special sales page. Most likely, I’ll end up sharing images on my blog of progress stuff. 😀

As far as sculpts go…the ones most likely to get attention right now are my next dragonsnail, which I’ve gotten started on, and is coming along pretty nice…. and the featherturtle. I’m also considering sculpting another chirpmunk…maybe…I dunno…..

I havent….oddly enough….I have a “pinball” method of sculpting…I bounce from piece to piece, gradually working on them, but rotating around so I dont get too tired of a piece. Right now I have….oh my…lets count….

                      mermaid
                      bobtail feathercat
                      lounging feathercat
                      featherturtle
                      wingfrog
                      pegasus
                      another dragonsnail…not named yet

so….that I’ve found sitting around the house, 7 sculpts in progress….not to mention a sketch concept for a “rising dragonsnail” which I’ve got the shell and everything ready for…and I’ve been considering revisiting the chirpmunk idea. whew.

I like the colors on that one, but I like the round pupils in the eyes.

                        Koishii…

                        I want that dragon lol

Do you think you’ll still be at Purplecat’s when she gets her next Dragonsnail finished? Maybe you could paint a different dragonsnail type with that color scheme 😀

I prefer the round pupils… Out of curiosity, are the eyes clear or opaque?

I think I prefer the slit eyes… on this sculpt. I think something that isn’t… soft. Like those ones look rough, almost psychotic looking. So, ones like that or evil looking ones (reds and blacks I suppose) Might look better with the slit eyes.
