Hi Melody!!
I LOVE this Purple Turquoise color that’s on the fledgeling on Ebay!! I was wondering, would this scheme be too complicated to do as a limited production color? That deep purple with the pink and turquoise accents would look DIVINE on so many pieces!!

Heh-you’re my hero  I want a purple car one day! If you go on Wikipedia, and type in “Pontiac Firebird” and scroll about 3/4th of the way down the page, there is a photo of a gorgeous, rare Medium Purple Metallic Firebird/Trans AM *drool*
June 24, 2011 at 1:25 am #849177I have a purple pontiac grand am 97. bought it new and its still running.
this purple matches my car!!June 24, 2011 at 2:29 am #849201isn’t this color just a little too similar to amytheist to make into another LP?
June 24, 2011 at 3:06 am #849203I’m not sure why it would be.. the hues are all completely different. The only thing they have in common is the use of purple, and the purples themselves are on opposite ends of the “purple” spectrum (Amethyst is a very warm purple, this one is a very cool purple). It is a test paint after all 😛
I can think of a few production colors that are much much more similar to each other than these two – Black Emerald Peacock, Emerald Peacock, Black Violet Peacock all steal shamelessly from each other for example.

June 24, 2011 at 5:39 pm #849241He’s way darker than amethyst. Amethyst is a bright neon purple. Purple Turquoise is a really deep royal purple.
June 24, 2011 at 6:51 pm #849239He doesn’t seem so close to me, as far as I can see the only thing that they have in common is the wings.
If someone can manage to post them next to each other (I can’t), it would be easier to compare.
June 24, 2011 at 8:11 pm #849251Yeah.. one’s got a reddish cast, the other’s got a blueish cast. As I said before, they are MUCH more different than several other schemes that are already production or limited production –
Such as…
I realize those are almost exactly the same color scheme (I don’t know the history of the schemes but I have to assume they were created at the same time for some reason), so to further my argument – what about Emerald Peacock and Peacock?
Yeah..

June 25, 2011 at 11:53 pm #849326I don’t see how anyone could think these two colorations look alike. They are very different.
I also would like to see these as production/limited. This color reads as a blue to me just as much a purple… so perhaps they could be those blue dragons people are looking for.
June 26, 2011 at 6:25 am #849341Would be a nice sort of thing when they make it as a limited/normal Production. The Ebay one was at the end to expensive for me.
So i would be lucky when i can buy him some time, really like the color and the combination of it, they suit the little one very well.Edit: He was Sold for 760$, seems to be much for a fledgling or am i´m miss imformed?
