This is the first Poad I really wanted to buy, but I ended up resisting the urge to place a bid. I’m saving my pennies for a limited edition OW (hopefully), since I don’t have one of those yet.
The Poad belongs to my roommate. I told her as long as she paid for it she could bid to her hearts content. She was very happy when she came to my other job to tell me she’d won. I’m glad for her, it’s about the only good thing that’s happened all day 😕

I went to place a 500$ bid in the last 12 second and my sign into ebay screen appeared!!! AGRH!!! I WAS signed in! I had JUST signed in like 15 minutes before. I hate ebay sometimes! I’m glad it was a forum member who won though. Congrats!
*sniff sniff* Now I have the money saved from the Green Riser and the Poad. I hope another comes up soon. I NEED to win an auction soon before i burst 😆
You snipped that Peacock Sunburst Griffin from me a few months ago.:) I was crushed. 🙁 But I’ll be sure to post pics of her when she arrives. But man blooming-iris just kept upping the anti. Thanks for congrats 😀Looking for Blue Fawn Baby Kirin

Then you can look through the pages for buyers with that number of feedback. It’s one of the ways I decide on whether I want to bid on an item someone is selling or not (especially Windstones). If I see a negative listed I will look to see why they got the negative. I’ll also look and see if they gave a retalitory negative or not.
Thanks! I learn something new everyday. Today it was feedback profiles.

Sun Dragon Koi #3February 15, 2008 at 10:47 pm #666113No problem. I’ve been on ebay for a while (April 1999) and I’m still learning how to do some things. Like how to reply to/follow up on feedback. I was just an occasional buyer for a long time. I didn’t start selling on ebay until Nov. 2006. I don’t sell very often though. Fees will eat your money up if you just get pennies for your auctions.

I wanted this one pretty bad myself. I am comforting myself with the thought that there will be another one. That one will probably be pretty expensive too though.
February 16, 2008 at 1:04 am #666115I was really eyeballing this Poad myself, but I’m not sorry to see her both shoot way past what I thought I might bid, and go to a Forum member! 🙂 Setsunawolf’s friend gets a gorgeous Poad, the Poad gets a good home, and I get to keep watching for an Old Warrior or one of those Mother Griffin test paints. Everyone wins! 😆
February 16, 2008 at 1:48 am #666116Congrats to your roommate for winning the Poad setsunawolf! 😀
That is the most expensive one so far I believe. Almost $500.00! 😯 I can’t believe those things are going that high! I mean they are beautiful, and Melody did an excellent job on these ones… but dang, almost $500.00!!! I’m so glad I got my Lace Poad(tm) fix taken care of early on… or else my CC would be screaming for mercy!
February 16, 2008 at 1:58 am #666117Congrats to your roommate, Setsunawolf! Tell her we need lots of pix and she needs to join the forums!

February 16, 2008 at 10:37 am #666118Congrats on winning the Poad, setsuna. The price is crazy, though…
February 16, 2008 at 11:42 am #666119Congrats to your roommate. 😀 I figured my $260 bid wouldn’t last too long, but I never expected to see it go that high!

She put her max bid in at 30 seconds left and bloomingiris just kept upping the price. If BI hadn’t been buying up so many pieces I would wonder if it was just to run up the auction, except I think BI must have really wanted it. But I figured this one would sell for close to $500. I’m getting pretty good at predicting auction prices. But she REALLY wanted that Poad and now she’s exstatic so it’s all good. My roommate frequents the froum she just doesn’t have a lot to say.

Sun Dragon Koi #3February 18, 2008 at 6:39 am #666121I bet! I’m glad she got it. Blooming Iris has been buying left and right and seems to have money to spare. Lucky them. 😛

I would say be prepared to pay quite a bit for the next one. Blooming Iris won the Silver Lace Poad as well. Who ever they are they are a serious collector and are willing to pay for the pieces they want. It’s good for Windstone and I’m glad for them 😀 but very sad for me 😥
But I’ve gotten all of the Peacock Dragons I want except for the Kinglet. I’ll just have to watch for him. I have a male test paint griff and a purple wolf female and a Tiger Poad so I’m happy. I need to get another display case, I’m thinking maybe in the kitchen, I’m just worried about the dogs knocking into it. My boys are a little “rough” around the edges.
