Purple in the ema peas, where did it go?

Why did the purple get toned down in the later production batches of emerald peacock? Will it ever be brought back?

I couldn’t see any purple at all on the lap but I’ve only seen pics, could be bad photos….I was gonna buy a em pea scratcher but thought it needed purple. I’m a purple freak though…

My scratcher DOES have ALOT less purple then my male and female. I posted pics in the other thread. Does your Lap look like my scratcher?

I guess what I’m talking about is the lap and scratcher seem to have alot less purple. Why is that? I just love the male dragon with his pretty purple highlights and wonder why it was left out on the lap and scratcher?

I don’t actually have one but noticed this in every pic I’ve seen and it’s why I haven’t gotten one yet. I ended up deciding to save for a black gold lap instead. Wanted a scratcher in em pea but was disappointed cause the pics of the male and mother looked amazing. I found a em pea mother for 110 ppd and she’s on her way. I’ll post pics when she arrives. I’m hoping she’ll have alot of purple but I guess we’ll see…

So far I haven’t seen any of the male and female without the purple, but I haven’t seen any laps of scratchers with the purple. I don’t know why… 😕

The first Male and Mother Dragons in EmPea came out before Melody has the color exactly the way she wanted it. So they have a lot more purple. The newer Male and Mother Dragons will resemble the Scratching and Lap Dragons in color, the toned-down color. The toned-down color is the final EmPea color and will probably not be changed again. Of course, the squeaky wheel gets the oil… 😀

The purple got toned down in the production ones because we thought they were WAY TOO PURPLE. They still have the same amount of area that is a “purple” color, but we mixed a little blue in with the purple paint so that it blends a little more easily into the pure blue it lies next to on the dragon .
Does anyone have both kinds?
I felt that the two types looked so similar to each other, one could hardly tell the difference.
No, We don’t plan to paint the intense purple ones again, but ya never know…
