That’s a reverse poad(tm) π
Maybe we could call him a Tort (Toad/Parrot) This could be just the thing Melody should include in Reptangle and make them the evil cousins of the Poads…
Evil cousins…I like that. So many possibilities! π

Steal Magnolia’s is one of my all time favorite movies. My favorite is weezer!!!
played by Shirley Mc Clain. I always cry during that movie. Olympia Plays ClaireI think everyone who has seen that movie cried. I know I did and I still do every time I watch it. I’m a sissy for those kind of movies, I even cried watching the lion king.
Me, too. π³ I’m a sap. π
February 15, 2008 at 5:17 pm #665917It’s fun to get emotional when watching movies. At least I think it is. Until my husband starts teasing me, in which case he gets a pillow to the face or an ice cube down the shirt. π
My most wanted list: carnelian mouse wizard, copper patina frog wizard, autumn leaf poads, pumpkin spice kitties

I get emotional over movies too. The other day I was watching “The Holiday” again, and it got to that part where Miles writes a melody for Iris and plays it for her, and I got tears in my eyes. My husband comes in and says, “Oooohhhhh, she’s so emotional!” (meaning ME). I stuck my tongue out at him, but he patted my shoulder and gave me a tissue. I think he likes that I get like that. I’m usually pretty serious and hard otherwise, so it confirms to him that I have feelings.
February 16, 2008 at 10:32 pm #665919Im saying this with ALL sincerity… that photo of the dog REALLY freaked the ever lovin crap out of me. Im not joking. I had to scroll real fast. I dont know why it hit me like that, and Ive seen A LOT of photoshopped things, etc., but it is just hitting me very, very wrong.
I dont know why. I laughed at the others but the dog, I ran.

just weird! If you’re interested, or know someone who is, let me know. Here’s a picture of the dog (see attached)
I didn’t realize at first this was a joke post π³ Skimming the text quickly and not scrolling down, I was instantly thinking about how you could possibly get the dachsund to the US and wondering who could take him in. And then I scrolled down. And spit seltzer water all over my lap top π I feel so silly π³February 17, 2008 at 4:42 am #665921skigod377 wrote:π I need no more animals. π Mine are all fixed… ‘cept the bunny and thats cuz I was advised against it.
Bunnies are a PITA to keep down under anesthesia, their metabolisms are so fast that you have to practically double the dose to do it, and monitor really close to make sure they don’t come up in the middle of surgery.
Since a hysterectomy is so invasive and takes so much time, it’s not something to do unless you really have to, just because the risk of them waking up in the middle is so high.
We neutered a male rabbit once, boy was that tough too, and that was only a 10 minute proceedure, but damn if he didn’t wake up immediately after we shut off the gas. Usually it takes at least 10 minutes for an animal to come up, but not rabbits!
Anyway, sorry for the ramble, it was one of the more interesting problems I ever ran into while working for a vet. I had always wondered why spaying wasn’t routine for bunnies, but turns out there is a good reason why not.

KyrinYeah, I got the idea from a website on rabbits. Now I am assuming that it was one of these groups that feels every animal should be fixed till all the animals are out of the shelter. I figured that since I dont have a boy bunny that there is no reason to do it. That, and the problems with it, that you noted. She is safe here… no ones gonna get her pregnant.
