This is my first PYO Unicorn. She is suppose to be a Uni-zorse 😉 . I named her Zhenga, which turns out to mean Africain queen. Her stripes are not exactly accurate, but I think they came out pretty good for my first attempt.
February 5, 2009 at 3:42 am #717763WOW..I LOVE the way she turned out…the stripes on her are AWSOME… 😉
HMMMMMM….I think I might just want a PYO Unicorn now, I’ve painted a few but I dn’t have one in my collection just yet.. 😀

February 5, 2009 at 5:56 am #717764That’s really, really neat. It looks completely drybrushed. What’s your technique?
February 5, 2009 at 1:36 pm #717765Wow, I really like how you blended the colors. Nice work! 😀
February 5, 2009 at 4:36 pm #717766She’s lovely, very nice. 😀
February 5, 2009 at 4:58 pm #717767Ooooh, she is very pretty. I like the stripes on her! You’re designs are always very interesting. 🙂
February 5, 2009 at 5:46 pm #717768Thanks everyone 😀 ! And yes GB, I used the dry-brush technique on her. It really makes all of those little hairs that Melody sculpted ‘pop’ out 😉 .
February 5, 2009 at 7:32 pm #717769Now that is one cool unicorn!
I love the technique you used.
Different very unique.February 5, 2009 at 7:33 pm #717770Wow, that is different. I really get this ‘made of stone’ feel from it that is very nice. Every zorse’s stripes are different, so I don’t think you did anything wrong. I am not a particular fan of the yellow, but it is very fitting for the composition (perhaps a nice toned brown zorse if you are painting a second?). Well done =3
February 5, 2009 at 8:53 pm #717771Oh wow, he is really cool! Very unique too, I love those stripes!
February 6, 2009 at 12:10 am #717772I like the stone look too. She’s stunning!

Actually the fact she came out kinda yellowish bugs me. I was going for a buckskin bay coloring, but i didn’t quite mix my colors well enough. The pictures actally make her look a lot more yellow than she really is to – i’m not very adept a photo taking 🙄 .

Photoshop can fix that for you :3 I edit my photos like crazy to get them to look like they do in reality. I think the steps to changing a single color is image-adjustments-replace color-swab the yellow and play with the toggle percentages over how much of similar color and changing it etc.
February 6, 2009 at 6:48 am #717775Very pretty!
February 27, 2009 at 2:50 am #717776Here’s a link to my newest Griffy, Firefeather. He’s up for sale on ebay. As soon as I recover from this stupid cold I’ll get better pics of him and post him in my gallery. Wish me luck 😀 . http://shop.ebay.com/merchant/catherinek123
