February 26, 2010 at 6:26 pm #800960Here are some more sculpts I finished over the last week. The first is one of the Breyer re-sculpts I did.
The next is a sculpt I made from scratch. He needed repairs and after I finally painted him. The pics of him really bug me. He’s actually very vibrant. His colors are inspired from the newt. Not sure of the species name, but it’s bright green with vibrant red dots.

March 3, 2010 at 5:59 pm #800968Here are some more examples of my feather art. They are actually inspired from Native American ceremonial smudging feathers. I love feathers, and have been compelled to collect them since I was little. When I was a kid we always had chickens, and I used to love to go through the yard everyday and search for newly discarded feathers.
All of these are made with turkey feathers, but also have pheasant feathers to accent them. I also make a point to use real gemstones in a lot of these. It only seems fitting to do so. I will be posting some these on ebay – maybe next week. I have alot to sell. I’m doing some ‘spring cleaning’ as far as my crafts are concerned. I’m going to try to pare down what I have. Hopefully, I can find new homes for alot of this stuff. Right now it’s just sitting in storage.
March 3, 2010 at 7:48 pm #800969Wow, very pretty! Let me know when these go on eBay! I might have to get me one. 😀
