Awe. Some.
Those wings look perfect. Can’t wait to see these guys done!January 18, 2010 at 1:41 pm #800928Fantastic! I love ‘horse feathers’–more unicorns should have them! 😀 And those wings look fantastic!
January 18, 2010 at 5:01 pm #800929Thankies 😀 . I can’t wait to paint them. I have a pretty good idea how I want to do the winged one, but I’m still not sure on the uni  .
January 18, 2010 at 8:11 pm #800930those are amazing. well done!
January 19, 2010 at 3:05 pm #800931Absolutely wonderful! I love them all! But the one I really like is the bigger of the two dragon heads. 😀
January 20, 2010 at 3:15 pm #800932Nice, I cannot wait to see them painted. I love the wings on the demonic horse, and the horse feathers on the unicorn. What color scheme were you thinking of?

February 9, 2010 at 4:56 pm #800935Lovely. How goes the progress?
By the way…
The two little dragon heads you have posted…what type of clay is that? I am dabbling minorly in clay sculpture (when I have time between work, school, stained glass and beads) and I got frustrated with the particular polymer clay I was using (sculpy III or such) because it wouldn’t hold the details I wanted and was too soft.I like to get ideas before I buy any more clay.
February 11, 2010 at 5:28 pm #800936They are all real nice, but I especially love the face on the dragon.
February 11, 2010 at 9:54 pm #800937Well, I’ve been working on other things as of late. I put aside the Breyers now. I tried painting the winged one (he has at five coats of paint on him 🙄 ), but got frustrated and put him and the unicorn aside. I just can’t seem to figure how I want to paint them yet.
As for the dragon head, I managed to sculpt a neck and some wings for him. He’s going to be like a bust kind of a sculpture. The wings were done in the same way as the wings on the breyer and the sculpt itself is made out of Super Sculpy. His eye placement really bugs me. Head on, you don’t see them at all – kinda like a prey animal. Oh well. These are older pics of him. I have actually started to paint him. I also intend to give him a mane made out of real Tibetan wool.
The next piece I have is a relief of a dragon I sculpted out of super sculpy and painted. He still needs to be glued to a background. I bought a canvas and I intend to paint mountains and sky and what not. I love to mix mediums 😀 .
