There’s alot of us painters out there, and some are very good! Commissions will be available I am sure. So, then you may get one already painted! 😉
lol tricky tricky……
But, are you all assuming Phoenix is a PYO piece? I didn’t see that posted anywhere but I certainly can’t seem to find everywhere so it could be somewhere……..and isn’t it a rule in general you aren’t supposed to paint one like The Creator, and if I love the Phoenix as it is, then seems like I won’t get one like it if it’s a PYO piece… LOL
Now that’s kind of a riddle haha
No assuming, it is a pyo. She has been working on this one for quite a while, keeping us painters just chomping at the bit.
This was the first attempt at it: http://www.windstoneeditions.com/galleries/displayimage.php?album=16&pos=94
But he did not pan out.
And here is the one you see now, before his pretty refining: http://www.windstoneeditions.com/galleries/displayimage.php?album=16&pos=93April 21, 2010 at 5:51 pm #811089I’m very happy Melody went with the latter sculpt. I like the fact the successful sculpt has opened wings 😉 .
April 21, 2010 at 5:54 pm #811090ditto. I am looking forward to having fun painting both sides of the wings.

Very true, I’ve seen some beautifully done PYO pieces! I’d better start saving up my money!

DARNIT though; I love it just the way the test paint came out!! ::mumbles, I like The Creator’s:::: lol

Yep, they are designated to be a PYO one day. Atleast that is what Melody has said before. (Horrible at hunting up old things…Pegasi, where are you? 😆 )
And who’s to say one can’t paint a hawk-ish pattern on one of theirs? 😉April 22, 2010 at 3:36 pm #811094There are a lot of cool birds that are grey and white that you can use for inspiration. No one ‘owns’ the look of a wild bird. 🙂

April 22, 2010 at 4:57 pm #811096I think they’ll be interesting to paint. 🙂 I wonder what eye colors they’ll be available with?

And who’s to say one can’t paint a hawk-ish pattern on one of theirs? 😉 You can paint a pyo phoenix like my grey phoenix if you want to! It was inspired by a mockingbird’s markings. *hopes for gray eyes! NEED*
April 23, 2010 at 2:28 am #811099If they are PYO, they will be getting any of the eye colors we have in the right size. I think the phoenix takes 8mm, and we have a LOT of different colors in that size.

YAY! You can be my first Phoenix customer! 😀
Pam? How big is he anyway? Compared to the other PYOs I mean? It’s hard to tell without something near it to compare.
If the eyes are 8mm… then *uses powers of deduction* Is he a bit taller then the PYO Griffin?

I think the phoenix is either the same height as, or just under the PYO griffin, but half of that is rock.April 23, 2010 at 4:53 am #811102FYI, PYO Griffins and PYO Kirins take 8mm eyes 😉 .
