So I’m laying in bed this morning staring at my night stand and all the pretty stuff on it and I was thinking about putting a different lamp on the table. I then realized I don’t have space for more than a small lamp.

Now, I love Pinterest (who doesn’t? ;)) and I see a lot of THIS on Pinterest

Like, in the “magazines” no one keeps anything on their night stand! Mine is much less functional. I also wonder why everyone has theirs with the drawers facing out like in the above picture. I turned mine sideways so I can actually access the drawers from my bed. I keep electronics, headphones and books in there and I like to read or play on my tablet before bed.

It says a lot about me…I like wolves, dragons, unicorns, Windstones, my family, and candy 🙂 haha The little orange lady cat looks just like a real cat I have (minus the snip on the nose but close enough) And yes those are rings around the horn of the lap dragon. She’s a jewelry holder. Windstones aren’t just art anymore 😉

My nightstand is really boring. 🙂 It just has a stuffed bear that my hubby gave me and a clock on it. My Windstones are all in my office next to and on my computer desk where I can stare at them constantly.

I thought I was the only one who did that! Instead of a nightstand, I have a vintage rolltop desk with a curio hutch on top (also with the drawers facing the bed and I keep all my art/craft supplies in them!). The hutch is filled with my more prized Windstones. The desk top has my “grail” Windstone facing me while I sleep, a slew of pebble creatures, a WIP craft project or two, cherished photos of my babies, and a crapload of Disney, MLP, and various 80’s Memoriabilia. When I go to bed at night, a pebble fox holds my glasses for me while I’m sleeping. If I get a chance to dust later this weekend I need to post updated pics of my collection in that area! It’s my favorite spot in the house!

no Windstones in the bedroom for me, my naughty boy kitty spends most of his time in there and if he’s not watched, most things would be on the floor, he even knocked a PYO Kirin off one of my shelving units right in front of me in the living room where all my Windstones live….

            4 things I'm looking for:
            1. Mother Meerkat
            2. production color Sitting Young Oriental dragons to be made in more colors besides VF, Brimstone would be awesome!
            3. Female Griffin – Siamese with White
            4. September Raffle Prize 2022 AHD Male Griffin

I don’t have a nightstand! 🙂 The only upstairs Windstones are a couple of cheap hatching dinos my youngest has in his room (my older son has stolen a shelf in one of my downstairs cabinets lol).

Given the upcoming baby, I think we’ll stick to the policy of having Windstones behind glass doors or in my office 🙂

Congratulations on the baby. It sounds as though you soon will be even busier. 🙂

I don’t have any Windstones on my night stand because I don’t want them to get damaged by knocking them over or my dog, Girlie, snooping around them… Instead I have some Windstones on the ‘Highboy’ dresser next to my side of the bed, which also includes a good helping of handmade artist animals (bears, cat, rabbit, lion, etc) and my alarm clock. The Windstones on the Highboy are mostly my Pebbles (3 foxes), Uni Babies (2), PYO Uni by Koshi, PYO Royal Birman Wolf by Falcolf, Bat/Bird Flap Cats (2), and my newest Windstone, the ‘Overo #2’ Gothic Uni I won on eBay a few weeks ago. 😀 Once I snag an upcoming GB Pebble Wolf and an Ivory Pebble Wolf *fingers crossed* they will go next to the other fox pebbles!

All my other Windstones are on the Highboy dresser and the mirror dresser in the spare bedroom, and some at work with me to admire during the day!

My night stand has a larger lamp, a few stuffed animals, and some ‘lesser’ quality resin dogs that look like the fur babies from my past (Lab, two Silky Terriers) and Wedding photo of me and Hubby, plus a few books. Like you Wolfen, my drawers are parallel to the bed for easy access, and also include additional books, CDs/Headphones/player for listening to music. Mine’s a little more functional than yours I think. 🙂

                Congrats Kiya!

I’ll have to get a pic of my nightstand, it is home to our one and only seacret keeper, kind of our crown jewel of the group. My Dresser on the other side has a few, but I have to keep them pushed back so the cat isn’t tmpted to play target practice with my wastebasket in front of it. Pics if i can remember!

my night stand is a 30 gallon saltwater aquarium. I have all kinds of stuff on top of it though. an led tree with ornaments hanging from it and tadpoads and a fenic fox on the base and other dragons and critters spread about on the aquarium lights.

I’m too reckless in the middle of the night to put a Windstone on my night stand, lol! I keep water and my phone on it and when it’s the middle of the night, I try to get the water or check my phone for the time (when I wake up for no real reason at 3am, lol) but I inevitably bump the water glass and/or phone into my lamp or anything else sitting on there, I try to move slowly enough that it isn’t a massive crash… but I did recently knock the lamp over when I was particularly not with it, lol! – A lot of my Windstones like being near my art area, up out of the way of artsy things, but able to snoopervise my work 🙂

You know, I don’t think I’ve ever had a nightstand. In my house in Texas, I have this kind of caddie that hangs from between the mattress and the frame of my bed for putting books, the tv remote, that kind of thing inside, as well as a very big bookshelf, and on top of that I keep oversized artbooks and a small collection of water globes. Here in Japan, I have to put my futon (my bed) away in the closet every day because there’s not enough room for it to stay out everyday (plus it will get moldy if I do that). I guess my couch acts as my nightstand, but it holds all my work-stuff and clothes I’ve thrown on top of it as well as stuff I’m trying to sell / the boxes I’m gradually packing.

My nightstand boast 2 Windstones. The wolf is held in place by strategically placed Velcro.

Read my books! Volume 1 and 2 of A Dragon Medley are available now.

Mine isn’t that exciting either. Just a stained glass lamp, my Bible, two chunks of polished labradorite, and one figurine. I want plenty of free space since I’m constantly setting down and taking off books I’m reading, so certainly nothing fragile like a Windstone.

Is that a black Sandicast wolf, by the way?
