Also remember, you can’t use Paypal for it. I almost got in trouble. :negative:
February 21, 2010 at 5:32 pm #806509Right, exactly. Doing a ‘for profit’ raffle is complicated and often legally messy. I wasn’t trying to talk anyone out of it, but rather was suggesting that a direct sale or auction format might work better. My best wishes!

Thank you Nam! I sure hope that you get out of your financial hardship boat too, I always feel bad that your art isn’t supporting you. I always appreciate your knowledge and advice, so don’t worry about discouraging me because it;s nice to know-and Laurie, thanks for your input on Paypal, I would have used them and probably gotten in trouble!-Khat has offered that I use her auction site to possibly sell it, and I might do it, but I am thinking about it, and talking it over with KC. Thanks gals. 🙂

Did someone say Emperor!??? 😈
I would LOVE to help too and would figure out at least some way to enter like I did for others
I have never been to a Chiropractor myself but I like what I have heard about them
If I won the lottery I would gladly pay that in full to get a Special piece and help out a fellow forum member
I have never put together a raffel like this either and really with both jobs and commutte and blah blah blah can’t take on anything new
but I wish you all the luck in the world
living with pain is NEVER niceFebruary 24, 2010 at 4:38 pm #806512eaglefeather831 wrote:Wow, I really do need to see one then., I have a feeling that a lot of my physical problems will be better if I do. It’s too bad I can’t do a raffle, it was my only hope. I was about ready to raffle off my entire Windstone collection if I had to (but I do love them!) KC’s was the only windstone in this house that could have been worth a little more. How do I shop around for Chiropractors? Do they all need to do tests and x-rays on me to know the potential cost? My insurance will only pay for the first 25 visits, and I still have to pay a 60 dollar deductible during the first 25. After that, it is out of pocket. That is probably why it is so much-1500 total, deductible cost for the 25 visits, and then 1100 that would be totally my costs after the first 25. We need better insurance. 🙄
Thank you all for your experiences and your well wishes. I agree that no one should live with chronic pain because it is too much sometimes-of course some days are better than others.I’m no expert on insurance matters but I’m curious if you could just time your visits to be spread over two years there by reducing your costs. For example time the first 25 visits for the end of your insurance year and then the next 25 visits for the start of your next insurance year. Again I don’t know if that is possible or not but if it is it could help you out.
February 25, 2010 at 4:54 am #806513Did the chiropractor you saw say it would just be adjustments or…? You should be able to call around and just ask the price of an adjustment. I know prices vary widely in different markets and states, but I see a chiropractor here twice a week (I won’t go there..) and was paying a $20 co-pay, then switched insurance. He didn’t take my new insurance, but said he would continue to see me for the $20 a visit!! I got lucky though I think. And I had only been to see him 3 times when that happened! 🙂
