Thanks! I have other bills to pay too, but I really want this guy. I’ll have to do some creative juggling if I win. 😀
August 9, 2007 at 10:18 pm #607007Hope those of you bidding on him have noticed the seller added a fourth picture showing damage to the backside of the wings. It looks like a pretty nasty chunk to me.
August 9, 2007 at 11:26 pm #607008Yeah. I saw that. I’m having my bid withdrawn. I don’t want to pay that much for one broken. I asked him for shipping quotes and he didn’t give me one. He said something about getting a box, so he wouldn’t know until it was done. And if I’ve bought things before, I should know what shipping will cost. It just seemed rude to me. I explained that I know what things cost, but that doesn’t mean that’s what he’ll charge me, and that I want to make sure the numbers match or are at least close.
Ski, you may want to withdraw your bid too.
August 9, 2007 at 11:30 pm #607009They also said that they found the chip and it could be glued.
August 9, 2007 at 11:43 pm #607010They said they will glue the piece back on so who knows how good thats going to look.
August 10, 2007 at 1:13 am #607011D: it looks like they ended the auction. awwww
August 10, 2007 at 2:29 am #607012😡 😡 😡 I was REALLY pulling for a couple of you here that I knew wanted that piece. I hadnt seen that they added any new photos (cause I wasnt bidding but had it in my watch box). Oh, how disappointing to have it dangled there only to have something negative thwart the win. If a “jade scratcher” comes up again, Id be really careful in reading the description to be sure it isnt the same one with the piece now re-glued. Not like they are common dragons.
Sorry to you guys who were bidding and had this bad news.
August 10, 2007 at 2:44 am #607013I’m sorry the auction ended. 🙁 But I suppose it’s better than paying a lot, receiving a damaged piece and going through the whole refund hassle.

AMEN! though my ordeal was considerably easier than most of you have experienced in the past and the damage was not chips but missing paint. But I dont wish the overall experience when this happens on eBay to anyone.
Off topic but eBay related: Im already selling a bunch of stuff on eBay (non-windstone) and ppl just do not read auctions. I say I’ll ship worldwide if the person interested is outside of USA or CAN, please contact me PRIOR to bidding. Someone in France didnt bother to do this and now Im stuck in a huge translation nightmare. Plus, something else I sold… absolutely NO contact or payment from the buyer. Sent her emails, eBay mails etc. My auctions say contact must be made in 3 days and payment in 5. Item was sold on Aug 3… still nothing from her. Im reporting her tomorrow.
I really dislike eBay but must go through this garbage. I need to make that one time yard sale thread of non-windstones here that I was given permission to do so maybe you guys can get some things are such easy costs to add to your other collections. But making that thread with proper photo links will take all day and Im daunted by the task. But, I got to get to it.

Ski, you may want to withdraw your bid too.Thank you emerald! I wasnt paying attention, but now I dont have to worry about it. I dont want to buy one that is that damaged anyway, esp not if he was rude.
August 10, 2007 at 3:53 pm #607016Yeah. I’m glad he cancelled it. I hate it when people add things later that should have been disclosed up front, like damage, etc. I had bid $260, and I certainly don’t want to pay that much for a scratcher, Jade or not, that is broken.
I do still want a Jade Scratcher. But not a broken one. 😀
