No party, ever? Wow, I’ll bring snacks but I don’t drink so someone else has to bring the booze. πŸ˜†

I don’t drink either, so I won’t bring drinks unless they’re non-alchoholic πŸ˜† But…. I can bring starts for an herb garden. I’ve got round leaf peppermint, pineapple spearmint, catnip, creeping thyme, wooly thyme, lemon thyme, lemon balm, chamomile, rosemary, thai sweet basil, purple basil, cinnamon basil, fennel and lots more! I LOVE gardening!

I am glad your house hasn’t been flooded and hope it never does that can be a mess. Is you wall salvageable at all or will you have to tear it completely down and rebuild?

I wish you could send that rain to se FL our beautiful green lawns, etc are turning brown and we are under restricted watering.

In 1999 we got the backlash from Hurricane Ireme and that morning when I looked out the front window the water was about 5′ from my garage door but luckily the driveway slants away from the house. In the back there is a fence around the jacuzzi and planter area and from the fence to the lake is about 75 yards and that morning the lake was inside my fence. One of my neighbors had a canoe and they were paddling around the large stone planter in the middle of the cul de sac. It was 3 days before we could drive out of the cul de sac. A couple of the neighbors wadded out and checked the drains but they were clear just couldn’t handle all the water. All in all we got about 27″ of water in 24 hours. We sure could use some of that water now we have been in a drought for the last 3 years. After Irene I had accordian hurricane shutters put on the house and I can close it up in less than 1/2 hour. Bringing in the lawn furniture, etc is another matter.

I wrote a reply but by the time I pressed ‘submit’ our internet was interrupted so now I’ll start over… πŸ˜•

I don’t drink anymore so no booze is fine with me…
at least if we do something crazy we can say it came naturaly.

I love thyme, rosemary and my favorite peppermint!

Darjeb I can only imagine how scary it must be in the tail end of a hurricane… 😯
Glad you made it out ok.
              I’ll pray you get rain…

As far as rebuilding the wall, Environnement Canada does not permit rebuildt of a cement wall that came down and they also don’t want you to patch it.
What they want us to use to replace the wall costs a fortune and that will never happen.
Building a higher wall would only work if the neighbours built one the same hight.

So you can’t do anything to fix that wall???? That’s not fair!!! πŸ‘Ώ

We can but it’s too expensive and my boyfriend won’t waste is money there since he has more important things to buy with his money…like beer, going out with the boys every night… πŸ˜• Sorry, being sarcastic. And I refuse to put anymore money in this house that belongs to him because of the way I get treated.

                #687670

                I agree. I wouldn’t do it either. πŸ‘Ώ

Wouldn’t pushing him off the wall be appropriate? πŸ‘Ώ

BDW, thanks for the update! It’s good you’re not flooded out, but bad about your garden and wall. Not being able to rebuild it (feasibly) is terrible! And when the water level goes down, plant some nasturtium! They grow like wildfire and their flowers are edible! πŸ˜€
