Okay, so by letting the dams go it’s flooding one area as opposed to another area? That doesn’t make sense to me!
That was my reaction to when I heard that… you should see further down from us in Montreal and even further, it’s worst right now.
April 22, 2008 at 12:12 am #687617YIKES! π―
I hope that all ends well!
April 22, 2008 at 12:58 am #687618I probably should have asked this earlier, But what dams are you near?
April 22, 2008 at 1:11 am #687619good question…I can’t remember the name of the dam π― I’ll have to look it up.
April 22, 2008 at 1:28 pm #687620Hang in there BDW! Hopefully the water won’t get any higher π― How funny that your Boyfriend just started to worry….. Sorry I haven’t been around much lately. The family is doing better now; we had to get major help from the school with the bully problem; nearly had to get the police involved, but things are much better and lucky for us the parents of the bullies were on our side and not defensive about their kids…. One parent was so angry at her kid we got an apology from her as well as the student π― That doesn’t happen often these days…. The boys have been problem free for a week and a half. I know it doesn’t sound like a long time, but I have my cheerful kids back! Hopefully it’ll last and I can visit here more often.

Ok I verified and the dam near me is called “Chute-des-Chats” and it’s a generating station at Fitzroy Harbour.

April 23, 2008 at 12:47 am #687622As terrible as the high water is, that’s an extraordinarily soothing sound the water makes.

π To me that is anything but soothing to the ears! At the present moment that is…I prefer to hear it somewhere else. π
