I hope you have everything packed and ready. But mostly I hope you don’t have to evacuate.
April 21, 2008 at 3:28 am #687602Yikes! Hopefully you won’t have to evacuate, but in the meantime, if you haven’t done it, I’d suggest moving low-lying electronics (like computers) wires up off the floor and paperwork (in case you have a filing cabinet on the floor), just to be on the safe side. My fingers are crossed for you!
April 21, 2008 at 1:57 pm #687603Yoikes! 😯 How are you and Michel doing? I hope you won’t have to place him; that’s always a bummer….. Does the river flood every year? If you need help with sandbagging let me know and I’ll be right there!

April 21, 2008 at 5:13 pm #687604I am glad you are prepared but hope the river goes down and you don’t have to put those plans in action.

Hi Twindragons!
Haven’t heard from you in a while …what 3-4 days now? 😆
How are you? And the family? We are doing well…well kind of. 😉
The river is rising fast, to us anyway.
I’m prepared Michel will be place in the foster home and the animals will…might go to my friends place and I’ll sleep there at night if it floods.
I still have lots of stuff to move but most of it is gone to mom’s place.
Now I’m just packing the leftovers and what I have for sale.
I’ve been meening to post these in the forum but with this flood being eminent, I don’t really have the time. Thanks everyone for your concern and good thoughts, I trully appreciate it!
PS: now my boyfriend is starting to worry about the flood 😆
funny I’m starting to relax knowing that my stuff is almost all gone.
The only thing that worries me is my treadmill and my armoire.
They are both to big and heavy like h… to move out of there by myself and even then I could not get the armoire out.
(wouldn’t have a place for it, 😯 forget getting that beast at my mom’s basement!) 😆 😯April 21, 2008 at 10:28 pm #687609wolflodge100 wrote:Yikes! I hope it stops soon!
Now that they open the dams from up north friday it’s just starting…

Oh, that’s a shame. I’m glad you are preparing for it, though.
April 21, 2008 at 10:30 pm #687611How long will they leave it open? Don’t they know it is causing flooding below?
April 21, 2008 at 10:31 pm #687612Worst case scenario, when do you think you’ll have to evacuate? 🙁

As long as needed. Yes they know but they have to let some go otherwise it’s in the north that they will flood.

Depends how fast it rises…I estimate maybe by the weekend…or next week.

That’s so not good…

I’m glad you have prepared, though, and gotten most of your valuables and loved ones placed safely elsewhere. I hope that water level stops rising… 😕
