This is a portrait commision of a pretty little pony called Frodo for Phoenix. He has the most startling blue eyes! And such a sweet little face! I hope I did him some justice.
I took a long time on the scales with this one, because my others have looked streaky and blah and didn’t antique well…but this one has about 15 layers of diluted paint on the scales, so they are rich and smooth. And I actually managed to antique it evenly! Yay me!! XD He has a little star on his chest, which was hard to do, and a blend of black and white hairs in his tail, which was also hard to do – and I’m not supremely happy with the way either turned out. But I’m proud of the rest!
