π No…just a lot of people who are annoyed. π
April 5, 2008 at 9:31 pm #680411Well if it’s unanimous, can’t you all vote to have the pep talk stop?
April 5, 2008 at 9:35 pm #680412π No, because management thinks it’s a wonderful idea!!! They are so out of touch!!! π
April 5, 2008 at 9:39 pm #680413Some management. π Poor star.
April 5, 2008 at 9:41 pm #680414It’s a job. It pays the bills and lets me buy new Windstones. π
April 5, 2008 at 9:43 pm #680415Can’t beat that, I guess. π

Yep, that’s about right. π

Exactly. We don’t want to play games, do arts and crafts or anything else that reminds us of Kindergarten. We are full grown adults. I don’t think mgmt. has the right to humiliate us, but as Star said, they think their ideas are wonderful. π Off the top of my head, we’ve played golf, volleyball, softball, badmitten, football, bowling, fishing, Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, Deal or No Deal, trivia several times, darts, Telephone, done exercises, counted to 20 without interrupting each other, pinned the tail on the donkey, broke a pinata, played blackjack and poker….a supv. even trucked in a full size Pac Man machine…all in a fairly small office. I hate playing sports, contests and all kinds of games, so it’s torture for me. lol
April 6, 2008 at 12:26 pm #680419Okay….you win!!! You have the wackiest management!!! π― π

Did they have you do the chicken dance at some point too?
I got to do that in my new hire training class. π
April 6, 2008 at 7:22 pm #680421I’m afraid to ask, but what is the chicken dance? π―
April 6, 2008 at 7:34 pm #680422Nope traviste, no chicken dance. Don’t give them any ideas! π Poor you….I guess they wanted to humiliate the new hires right off the bat. π‘
star, I can’t even describe it….I’ll bet somebody has it on YouTube, though….
I forgot to add Bocce, horseshoes and MadLibs to the list.
Most of my immediate mgmt. hates coming up with this stuff, too. One thing I will say is that they throw us parties every couple of months, with lots of good food.
April 6, 2008 at 7:38 pm #680423Parties with good food, I wouldn’t mind. We have one at Christmas and one after the annual client meeting, but that’s it. π
