I know all of that, Darkzorse! I know it’s all arbitrary! πŸ˜€ And I already knew about hyenas and vultures. Hyenas are to felines what wolves are to bears! πŸ˜› This is why I never meant to be absolutely serious! πŸ˜‰ Just a funny way to be “scientific” in something completely imaginary.

Actually, the basic point of the thread was to ask Melody about the Poad. And through this, I simply used griffins to bring the subject, because of similarities they apparently both shared. It was just some sort of a game. 😳 I just felt surprized to be replied relatively categorically that fantasy “classification” was due to “number of limbs at first”, and I felt like if I’ve been told that my way of having fun was “proven” completely wrong. πŸ˜₯ See what I mean? πŸ˜• No hard feelings…

Naw, no hard feelings there at all. I just go into ‘hardcore’ mode when talking about taxonomy because of the reams of taxonomy I had to read, edit, re-edit, and prosess as a part of my wildlife biology education. I had four classes dedicated to taxonomy *alone* and if I go for my master’s, I will be guaranteed more taxonomy. I’ve got odocoileus coming out of my hemionus from all the taxonomy!

    Odocoileus… what?
