January 6, 2012 at 1:06 am #868306Just paint chips….. easy fix so I’m told. Best realistic offer so far has been $800.00 dollars. $2,500.00 was my first offer. Not so sure I’ll get that though. Still researching.

January 6, 2012 at 1:55 am #868314As I recall, (oh! that sounds old!) and no one took notes mind you, so I could be wrong (and Pam will correct me if I am), but I’m pretty sure this is how it worked:
When we first introduced the Emerald green color (which is what you have) we gave them orange eyes and “jonquil” colored (a pale yellow) Swarovsky crystal jewels. We did not keep track of how many we made (or which styles we made) with the orange eyes and jonquil jewels before the eye and jewel color were changed to red. In fact, I don’t think anyone thought to tell those of us who did customer service that the change had been made, until a dealer called to complain that he got an emerald dragon with eyes and jewels that didn’t match the others he had on the shelf! We always made things in batches – a typical cart of Emperor dragons would hold 30 dragons – so I’d guess that at least 30 of them had the light eyes and jewels, very possibly more of them, I doubt it would be much less than that number. I guess you guys can start a head count!
January 6, 2012 at 3:39 pm #868356He’s lovely! I wouldn’t say he’s mint, paint flakes or small chips, that usually means a lot to certain collectors. at least ones going to pay a large price for something. They can always be fixed, but they won’t ever be mint again.
He’s still awesome though!
