O. M. G.
I just got back from a Pink Floyd tribute band concert, and I am SO happy! I cannot convey how happy I am.
You see, there is a certain song. It is “our” song, my boyfriend and I. It’s by Pink Floyd, but it is obscure, and also long, and also weird and very difficult to perform. (The song in question is “Echoes” if you want to know.) Because of being obscure, long, and weird I never thought I’d hear it live. Never! But tonight I did. I got to actually see the freakish guitar effects done in person. OMG! When I heard the intro start I was all “That sounds like Echoes, but it can’t possibly be Echoes, there’s no way they’d perform that!” But they did. My boyfriend and I were, I think, the only people in the theater singing along. But I hope they perform it again! I am so thrilled! Tonight could not have been better!
(Well, okay if I’d won the raffle it could have been better, but not really by that much!)
I just had to share. Wheee!
