I went to the art store yesterday…and came home $50 lighter but with a whole bag full of interference colors!!! 😈 It’s glorious. I bought one of almost every single Golden interference color the Blick store sold – I left out a few of the golds and oxide colors. So now I can make EVERTHING shiny!! 😀 Yay!

(which means, frozendragon, that I got the orange and am all ready to start on your griff – he’s been sitting there with the paint I’m planning on using for a few days now – I just havn’t been able to sit down and paint!! Hopefully tomorrow…)

Also, just curious – I uploaded a couple pictures to my gallery and I don’t think they ever showed up in the “latest uploaded” bar – I don’t mind particularly, but is that normal? It’s happend with my pictures more than once…Just wondering if anyone else has experienced that.

They take time to be approved, and then if you don’t happen to look after yours get approved, but before somebody else’s get approved and take their space, you don’t see them.

YAY…..I’m all excited….but I’m a tiny bit jealous that you can actually go somewhere to buy them…

I have to order them all online….and pay tons for shipping because the only store that carries golden here is Michaels….

all of their stock is old….I bought some paint from there and one was completely dry….the other had separated and one was just so messed up that it peeled right off after I had used it….besides the fact that one ounce is almost $10

needless to say I’m not buying paint from there again…

Dickblick was great. You should try them, Frozen.

We used to have a Dick Blick store here where I live, but it closed down a few months ago. It’s so frustrating to see all the huge chain stores like Wal*Mart driving our economy like this. Specialty stores and smaller places are closing down so quickly. 🙁 Has anyone else noticed this trend?

I just went to see them, absolutely gorgeous! I’ve been wondering Arlla… Did you get any of the PYO Dragons or do you plan to specialize in griffins? I’d love to see what you would do with a dragon.

I think Arlla would do and excellent dragon….and wolf and all the rest that are coming….

totally….we don’t have any small specialty stores for hobbies anymore….

it’s horrible….and Michael’s is over priced…..and Hobby Lobby doesn’t have everything….and well when it comes to any artistic stuff Wally World plain sucks….

Our local Michael’s all went out of business… and there is now only one Hobby Lobby and it’s a long ways away. Up north where I used to live Hobby Lobby didn’t even exist! I had to order everything online all the time. 🙁

We have a really cool place here called Art-Mart, and they have all the art supplies you’ll ever need. I havn’t been there in a while, but I’m pretty sure they have interference paints. If not, we also have a Dick Blick, Micheals, Hobby Lobby, and some other weird craft store. Living in a big city does have its benifits.

I’m gonna look when I visit my sister in Fort Worth later in January…I might get some more paints…

😀 I WANT to do a dragon…I just need to buy a few to paint. And then I need the time to paint them! I admit, I like the griffins best – and I know how to paint them now, which makes me more comfortable with them…

Actually, now that I think about it, you guys will be seeing a dragon by me soon – but I certainly can’t gaurantee that it will be good!! 😈

(Same with the wolves – I’d really like to paint some, but I just need to get around to it)

Yea, I know how that is. I still have a ton of white dragons and wolves waiting for paint. I don’t even have a full time job and I still havent found time. *sigh* I can’t wait to see your dragon though! I bet everyone will be very happily surprised when they see it 😉

LOL! for some reason I want you to do a TABBY WOLF, just for laughs! I bet it would be really interesting since you are so good with the stripes! A grey tabby wolf, or a burnt orange one, that would be awesome!
