Looks like you got it figured out. 🙂
August 16, 2012 at 1:58 am #884886I accomplished this one, but when I tried to post other pictures, they only showed a fraction of the picture… So still working out bugs.. 🙂
August 16, 2012 at 3:01 am #884890It has to do with the size of the photo. The forum can only display so many pixels wide. (It won’t automatically shrink to fit.) Unfortunately I don’t remember how many. That is why some pictures are cut off on the right.
Maybe someone else on the forum remembers the exact limits. So the key is to “resize” the photo before uploading it to your photosharing site. When we do this, we do a save-as so that we still have the full resolution picture if it needs to be emailed somewhere.
Hope this helps.

http://www.sarahjestin.com/feedbacklists.htmAugust 16, 2012 at 5:08 pm #884938There is also a way you can ‘cheat’ to re-size images that you don’t want to mess with!
If your image is wide, and the forum cuts it off, but it’s already uploaded and you are feeling lazy (like me), you can input the width.
Simply, when posting an image to the forum you must write a short bit of code.
Normally, this is (WITH NO SPACES..) which displays the image in it’s native size.If your image is over 700 pixels wide, it might get cut off. So simply add this bit of text in your code:
To break it down so that you can understand what you are looking at…
The carrots tell the forum that you are inputting code, so that the forum understand where the code begins
IMG means that you are inputting an IMaGe
SRC means that you are telling the forum where the image is SouRCed.
The = equals sign is self explanatory.
The ” ” Parenthesis is establishing that you are inputting a variable.
WIDTH is literally telling the forum how wide you’d like the image to display, in pixels. You can set this to whatever you want, but I’d suggest not setting it higher than 700 or 800.You can preview your post to see how wide it is, if you are not sure, and adjust the number up or down. 🙂
Hope this helps someone!

My art: featherdust.comAugust 16, 2012 at 6:07 pm #884944How do you “resize” your pic? Is that the same as cropping? I have never had a “size” problem with pics before so ALL of this is new to me… On the codes above, where would I stick the code for it to work with the picture?.. Apparently I am very computer illiterite… lol…
