You know, if you have vicious, protective, territorial dogs, small animals like raccoons, mice, gophers, possums, and bunnies won’t come into your yards for long. I don’t think they’d scare off deer, though 😉

Oh, neat! I’m envious that you have a back yard. We just have a tiny little pasture – or mud hole, depending on the weather – and the only critters that get lost in there are the horses. 😆

Me too!! I was driving home the other morning from school, past the new house and a Lynx ran across the road in front me. I stopped and got to watch it for a minute. I actually feel a little special to have seen one, they are pretty rare up here…

Oh cute deer. And lucky you for seeing a lynx. They are really quite rare.

I miss seeing the wildlife. Living in the city core….. well you don’t see much. My grandparents farm was across the street from a wildlife preserve. I know they had everything from porkupines to wolves. I hardly ever got to see them but, going through the back pastures a few of the watering holes had alot of tracks around them.

I think most of us would love to have the view you do from your house!!! Is that pic around somewhere? I’d like to see it again. 😉

Tulip munchers!!!! 😀 Well that what I call them at this time of year. I have yet to get through the spring with out loosing some Tulips to them!

Beautiful pic. Really I do like deer, (I just swear when I find the damage). And a Lynx too! Watch out for coyotes though, espessially if you’ve got pets.

I live 5 min from downtown (in a city of 1 million people) and we get all kinds of wildlife. We’ve even had a black bear show up in the downtown core.

Edmonton’s the same, my cousin and I’ve even seen a Fox wait for the light to change before crossing a major Freeway, and the funniest thing was that the fox was at the light’s(crosswalk), while we were umm Jaywalking 😯

Beautiful pix! I see deer just about every day…though not in my backyard. They like to eat at the edge of the Garden State Parkway. Even the buses don’t spook them, they are so used to traffic.
