Pic Competition Beginning 1ST post updated.

Ok, pic competition is beginning. Rules are below and gift certificates will be given out for 1st ($30) and 2nd ($20) places.

Rules as follows:

1. Photo must be part of the theme. Theme this time is water. Water does not have to be the main focus, but water (any size, any form) must be on the picture SOMEWHERE. 🙂
2. You may only enter with a photo you’ve taken yourself.
3. You may not edit or manipulate the photo in any way beyond what can be done in a traditional darkroom.*
4. Your entry photo should have been taken within the last year.
5. When submitting your photo please make sure to submit the title of the photo (it can be ‘untitled’ if you wish) along with your real name and contact info. Only GB will know your contact info and name so that voting will remain anonymous. Voting MUST remain anonymous and nothing in the picture or posted in this thread should be able to be used to identify you in any way.
6. All photo entries must be submitted by November 21st to be considered for voting.
7. Have fun!

*- Traditional darkroom techniques include minor adjustments to contrast/brightness and some minor use of dodge/burn tool if necessary. Photos should remain as untouched as possible.

Send entries to humvee@econophone.ch with your information and the title of your picture.

I’d enter for the prize of some Windstone memorabelia from cafe press! Or decals if they get those going! Doesn’t even have to be worth that much, maybe one of the tile boxes or something….

Heck I’d enter just to see how bad my photography is next to Nams and BDW’s! LMAO <3

I don’t know about this picture taking competition, but I’d go for a gift cert. That way I can kinda choose what I want. Since I don’t really go for the cafe press stuff anywhoo.

And my photos are…. nice… but there’s much better photographers on this site then me! It would just be fun to see all the pictures. 😀

And what would be the rules for such a thing?

Last time they did it, there was a deadline to send your pictures to the organizer so they could post them annonymously, and then a poll was put up with every picture represented and people got to vote that way for their favorite picture. Then the winner was announced. Was actualy pretty neat! There were a LOT of cool pics.

Yeah, there was a list of rules. I will dig up the old topic, if I can find it, and we can just go from there. Its pretty basic… the person submitting the pic has to be the one that took it. Nothing about the pic can give away who you are… like you cant take a pic of your pet if everyone knows your pet. There were a few other things, too, but nothing too restricting.

Here is an idea too… when a person enters they can state either gift cert. or cafe express for prise “wants”

So when there is a winner you know what prize to give out… 😕 Just an idea…. 😉
