Have we ever talked about this? Since I’m in a new house, I cannot seem to get a good photo. Hubby and I spent a couple hours this morning taking photos in different lights, w and w/o flash, a polarizing lense, that hoodie thing that goes on the lense of my camera…..How on earth does Windstone get such great photos?!
March 14, 2008 at 5:14 pm #679430it was discussed here some: http://www.windstoneeditions.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2773&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=15
March 14, 2008 at 5:25 pm #679431Use flourescent lights and no flash, it helps alot, for me anyway. Natural lighting is good too, if you dont have flourescents. 😀

March 14, 2008 at 6:13 pm #679433I can’t speak for what Windstone does, but here’s another thread with some good tips. Personally, I photograph outside with my own homemade reflector box.
I’ve never tried a light tent, but Vapordragon took a nice photo of a black gold emperor with one.
If it’s not possible for you to have the same setup Windstone uses to photograph, then finding someone on the forum whose photos you really like and asking him or her exactly what they do might be helpful 🙂

My art: featherdust.comMarch 21, 2008 at 1:11 am #679435I knew I remembered someone asking how to take good photos in a bad lighting situation. A friend just showed this to me –>

I bet it’d work really well on Windstones! I’m planning on getting a box and trying it out myself.
