I agree it was a great shot and very much , “in the running”.( My wife really liked it.)
You caught the light just right, at the end of a shower. I’ve watched the light change while I was getting my camera turned on.March 28, 2007 at 2:31 am #556186I took the Sentinel. It’s a rock outcropping at Lake Mead. We pass by it every morning when fishing out there. It was taken on a Nikon Coolpix 2100. I have a few more shots from the lake, but need to create a photobucket account first.

Thanks ddvm. That one was mine. It was taken on my first whale watching trip in the San Juan Islands in 1989. It was an incredible day that was topped off by this young whale surfacing right by us. I was using a Minolta X700 35mm with a 70 to 210 lens. I was probably using 200 speed film. I don’t remember the rest. No Photoshop. I wish I had re-scanned the original though, instead of using what I already had in the computer that had been reduced.
This was the beginning of an obsession for me that’s right up there with horses and Windstones. I worked on that boat for 3 summers.
March 28, 2007 at 4:18 am #556188I forgot to say that this was fun. I hope we do it again sometime. Thanks Art and GB.

Oops! 😳 Sorry. I just needed a title, and that’s the first thing that came to mind.
March 28, 2007 at 6:04 am #556190well no one has asked, but Kiara the Tiara was mine and now no one can say they do not know what I look like!!
Kiara is my oldest cat, almost 7 now and up to about a year and a half old I would put her on my shoulder and she would just sit on my head like that. I have no idea why but EVERYONE thought it was GREAT and one day they took pics of itMarch 28, 2007 at 8:46 am #556191Actually, everyone was asked to talk about their photos, so I’m glad you did.

We have seen pics of you DM, your reflection showed in the pics you took of your collection way back when in the original “show your collection” thread 😆
March 28, 2007 at 4:17 pm #556193I was not sure how many people saw that reflection. I’m in the back ground in the mirror. Some how I missed taking a picture of my white family that day but I have the 4 white ones also. Now I also have the Russet, White and EmPea curls, the White SK and the 2 PYO’s that Melody FORCED me to paint when I was there. I jsut recently got 2 of the Claw business card holders and the circle of cats. This one is a better pic of me since it’s not a reflection
