Pewter crown sounds gorgeous! I agree with that question- gold plated? Yes… yes π
I like where you place jewels. I hadnt even known that the female griffins came with TWO rump & tail rings until I got one!
Is there a way for you to place YOUR own jewel Melody, and perhaps have some subtle holes elsewhere if we want to add more? If thats too much to do, I’ll settle for anything you choose.
Im just foaming at the mouth for this PYO even though Ive not done all the PYOs yet. But I like doing feathers- and it’s incredibly evident I adore Phoenixes. There is a mythical Phoenix story behind my buddha’ed out Windstoned cat in my signature, as his name came to me spiritually as “Phoenix.” It was HIS choice and I wont tell it unless someone asks cause I know I prattle but it’s a short story.
About size Ms. Melody… can you compare the size of the PHX PYO to say, the Griffin PYO or a production Young Dragon? I ask with those pieces as reference because I know their sizes well.
Thank you for always listening to us and all that you do- some that we know about and all the goings on behind the scenes that we can never comprehend! You must know you’re very obviously beloved (and no, Ive no ulterior motive for paying a comment and being nice to someone thats been nice to me).

<3 Here is a link to the comparison pic of the clay sculpture of the phoenix with a large flapcat. I'll try to get some better pics, of the more recent version of the Phoenix with something, for comparison. The Phoenix is about 2" taller than the little dragon pyo.November 16, 2007 at 12:56 pm #637091PhoenixTears wrote:Thank you- I’ll try to find it!
Sorry I didn’t go search myself… I try not to get caught doing anything other than work at the office.
November 16, 2007 at 1:23 pm #637092Oooooooh! I can’t wait for that one. I’m all for pre-placed jewels, but I don’t find them necessary.
Read my books! Volume 1 and 2 of A Dragon Medley are available now.

I host the feedback lists, which are maintained by drag0nfeathers.

November 16, 2007 at 5:08 pm #637094I like the idea of a pre placed jewel….
but a place for more jewels is cool too….
I like the gold plated feather thing…but I’d like silver too….maybe offer unplated ones?
LOL….lots of good ideas…
can’t wait till it’s done…
November 16, 2007 at 5:24 pm #637095I like pre-placed because I have no idea where and what size to buy jewels in… like for the unicorn π

or just a jewel on the head? I don’t know if there is room.
You always know best where to place things. I’ll be happy with whatever you decide. I can’t wait to get a Phoenix!!! π

but sometimes it looks cheesey if you add one and there isn’t…
but a headband thing sounded cool….
just something that popped into my head….but I wasn’t sure especially since Melody said something about doing the head feathers in pewter….
just gotta see what Melody thinks….There are long head feathers that I intend to cast in pewter. They look likea cockatiel’s topknot.
cool…are you going to do gold plating on them?I wasn’t. I was just going to leave them pewter, I guess we could offer them both ways, but if they are gold they won’t look much like feathers, will they?… but it is a fantasy bird, so I guess they can have metallic gold feahers.
November 16, 2007 at 9:36 pm #637099I would rather it were left unplated…otherwise it would be difficult to blend them in with the rest of the head feathers. I’d hate to paint over gold plating!

well same here…but I was wanting a gold one and a silver one….that’s why I suggested a variety….even though that sounds hard to do….

Yup! π
November 18, 2007 at 1:08 am #637102Don’t plate the pewter feathers. It’d be easy for people to run a silver or gold pen over them if they want them shiny!! That leaves them open for us feather enthusiasts to paint ’em like real feathers. π

I agree with Nam. Not all of us like that. And I’m one to like them more natural (Realistic) looking.

Thank you! That was a perfect comparison since I know the large flapper too. Wow, he is gonna be a hefty bird and is going to be stunning. I cannot wait to get one and paint it. I LOVE painting feathers. I can blend well (enough) on them and wish I could on smooth scales. So I squeak for any PYOs with tons -o- feathers! Wow, I already have color schemes flying through my head for the PHX. I really need to get over my fear though and get a PYO dragon (and Ive been meaning to get the wolf too and was about to when I started moving. Wolves are very spiritual animals for me, so I know one will be in my next order). Thanks for the link Miss!
