Hi, I just wanted to know how the phoenix pyo is coming along. Any new pictures?

For the most part, Melody cannot work on anything until casting is set up to create cast copies for her to work on (in a nutshell). π I’m sure we will see a lot of things happening when casting gets set up again.

Uh, we haven’t quite FOUND it yet, but it is around somewhere. ( I still am unsure of the gender of Phonixes). The sculpture is almost entirely finished, except that I was going to do a separate pewter piece to be the long floofies on his head. However, I think that may be too much for us to deal with right now. Maybe I’ll just make a long crest lying back on his head so that we don’t need to add a separate piece.
We need to set up the mold casting department before we can make the production molds for it.November 3, 2008 at 2:02 am #738434Hmm . . . a long crest lying along the back of the head could also be really nice. I’m looking forward to this PYO, but fortunately I haven’t run out of ideas for dragons and griffins yet. π
November 3, 2008 at 2:07 am #738435oooh, I like the idea of a long crest down the back of his head! π
November 3, 2008 at 6:24 am #738436Either crest version would be lovely. (I honestly don’t care how his crest looks, just so long as the PYO becomes available, the sooner the better. π )
November 3, 2008 at 2:46 pm #738437π I was thinking the same thing, GB!
November 3, 2008 at 3:01 pm #738438Same here.
Mind you, I guess you could have 2 versions of the phoenix: one with an integrated crest, and one with a pewter crest later on.

November 3, 2008 at 8:26 pm #738440I can’t wait to get one! π

I like that idea. Especially if it’s done after the integrated crest one has been out for a while since it might stir excitement in the sculpt again. I definitely would want one of each (or five ). Make a nice pair displayed together.
Personally, I like the “floofies” on his head, but I haven’t seen the new crest, so that might be nice as well.
