I once saw a car drive up an on-ramp onto the freeway IN REVERSE. And continue on the freeway, in reverse. I don’t know if the bugger was drunk, high, or both. This was in Sacramento, so the possibilities are endless.
I wish horrendously stupid, dangerous acts–particularly those involving bad driving–caused the perpetrator to suffer an instant destruction of a percentage of their sperm or eggs. Repetitive stupidity = sterility. If these twits can’t be bothered to drive with some intelligence and consideration for others’ safety, they sure can’t raise a child responsibly! 😡 I’m probably the only frustrated driver shouting, “May your seed wither!” at jerks on the road. 😛
December 11, 2007 at 6:22 am #644520People, usually Balkan, who speak the most horrid version of German one can imagine. I get sick of hearing it. 🙄

LOL My dad and I were talking about that after seeing the umpteenth Coke commercial, and we also remarked how the polar bears should definitely be EATING the penguins, not courting ill health through countless sugary drinks!
Pet peeves…
1) People who are rude to salespeople. I felt this way before I worked in retail but now I really don’t like it, even when I’m not working and I’m just another customer in the store. Some salesclerks are not helpful and some can even be jerks too, but most are trying to do the best they can and being pissy does nothing. People seem to have this idea that if they make a fuss, they’ll get what they want faster, which is so selfish I could bite something.
2) In the same vein, people who try to return merchandise to stores by concocting excuses or trying to blame the product when it’s pretty clear they just don’t want it or changed their mind. Just be honest, geez! LOL
3) People who use the expression “that’s so gay” when they want to say “that’s so stupid”
4) This will sound odd but I really dislike when someone offers to do you a favour, you specify what you need and they don’t follow your direction. I feel like, I’d rather have no help at all than halfassed or misdone help, because it can actually make the situation worse. For example, you mention to someone that you need to go out tonight to pick up Item X, they say “Oh I’m going there anyway, I’ll get it for you!” and then the next day they give you Item Y instead, creating more hassle for you and setting your plans back a day. Don’t commit to doing things if you can’t do them right! LOL

People who don’t bother learning English.
People who don’t bother speaking English to their kids at home so the extra funding my kids miss out on for extra help goes to teaching kids how to speak English 😈
Skinny girls who say “I’m fat”.
Fat girls who complain they’re fat while sucking down a cheeseburger.
I should stop now as it get more politically incorrect 🙄 😆 Im with you on most of those! 😆
1. People who dont know how to do their job so I have to do theirs and mine.
2. The whole driving… driving in the left lane not passing, passing really fast then pulling in front of me and slowing down…not paying any attention while driving…etc etc.
3. People who dont raise their kids or who dont dicipline them when I approach them with something the child did wrong. Not supervising them, etc.
4. People parking in my **^#& parking spot.
December 11, 2007 at 12:41 pm #644523Phone solicitors who won’t take a polite “no” for an answer.
People who honk when you don’t immediately turn when the turn arrow is green, when you’re waiting for traffic to clear the intersection.
People who quickly turn left across on-coming traffic as soon as the light turns green because they can’t wait until they get the turn arrow.
People who use the breakdown lanes or turn lanes as passing lanes so they can zoom past everyone.
People who don’t clean up after their dogs when they walk them. (I clean up after mine!!)
December 11, 2007 at 1:33 pm #644524Being called by an answering machine selling me something…AAAAAaaargh!
False niceness…
People who treat their pets like possesions rather than family members…I met a lady once who bought a cat because it matched her couch, her dogs were the same color…
People who barely know me walking up and giving me a hug…
monkeys….I don’t know why, I just dislike monkeys on a deep level.
Rude driver who look at you all hateful after THEY do something stupid.
People who act like their personal choices (religion, child rearing, schooling) are the ONLY way to be, and to do otherwise is a grave and horrible tragedy.
My in-laws. Yes, they are a pet peeve all in themselves.8)

I actually think Thats genius. The hair wont show on the furniture. So long as she treated them right, I dont see a problem with how she picked them. I was gonna pick a particular kitten cuz it matched my rabbit…purplecat wrote:monkeys….I don’t know why, I just dislike monkeys on a deep level.
Me and you both. Stupid monkeys.
December 11, 2007 at 2:43 pm #644526Families riding bikes and the kids are wearing helmets and the parents are not. Adult heads aren’t that much harder. My boss was hit by a car while riding his bike a couple of years age. He was seriously injured and all the cops/EMTs agreed the only reason he survived was because he had a helmet.
People turning right on red directly in front of me so I have to slam on my breaks.
Parents who tell their kids they are stupid or that they are sorry they ever had them.
Cats that decide that 2:00 AM is play time. 😆
December 11, 2007 at 2:54 pm #644527I agree with the 2am cat play time. My monsters used to think when my head hits the pillow is the best time to tear through the appartment.
I hate when people don’t look where they are going especially in a car. Especially when turning right. Maybe it’s a good idea to make sure you aren’t going to hit a person crossing the street….
I hate adults who think throwing tantrums is a great way to get what they want.
I just generally don’t like people very much. I hate crowds. I didn’t mind them before working in retail.
I dislike when people come up to me (stangers) and tell me all their problems. I let them do it since they obviously need to talk to someone. But, why me?

Weird…They were decorations to her. 😕 My animals are family.
December 11, 2007 at 3:11 pm #644529people who leave pets out in the cold with little or no shelter. this morning it is -5 F and that’s not counting the wind chill…

Oh man! That’s a good one, one of mine too. As someone that was on the receiving end of crazy customers for YEARS, it horrifies me when people are unnecessarily rude or worse to customer service people / people working at stores etc. There are so many people that are selfish and feel entitled to throw a tantrum to get things how they want. The worst part is that there are a lot of people out there that would report a salesperson’s ‘shortcomings’ (even though most of the time it’s not the salesperson’s fault- they are probably bound by company rules and policies!!) to a manager or the parent company, and that puts said person’s livelihood at stake. I feel like screaming at those people, ‘by complaining over petty item X, you may be robbing that person of their grocery or rent money!’. I am of the strong opinion that most people need to live at both ends of the spectrum so that they can appreciate their lives. (this isn’t directed to anyone here!!) Live poor for a month. You’ll better understand both sides and hopefully have a far better appreciation for what they go though.

My art: featherdust.comDecember 11, 2007 at 3:17 pm #644531One day I was out and I noticed a rottie pup at a trailer limping. His hind leg had been snake bitten and was rotting off. I could see the bones on the foot where flesh was rotted off. His hip area was swollen and really gross looking. The owners were waiting on him to die. They didn’t really care about him because they breed their dogs for the sole purpose of selling off the pups. They couldn’t sell him after he got bitten. They’d stopped feeding him as well, hoping he’d wander off into the woods. I called and reported them. But so many people have dogs around here as a “side business”. It makes me sick. 👿
December 11, 2007 at 3:19 pm #644532That’s gross and cruel! The least they could do is put the poor thing out of its misery. 👿
December 11, 2007 at 3:21 pm #644533I was soooooo close to becoming violent when they were telling me their excuses for not bothering. 👿
