Mostly Holiday shoppers: People who take a number at the jewelry counter who have no intention of looking at or buying jewelry, expecting that line to be faster, and who get seriously bent out of shape when that line moves no faster IF NOT SLOWER than the other lines because other people actually want to LOOK at JEWELRY at the JEWELRY COUNTER. THEN want to complain about your slow service to your manager… 👿
People who tell you your customer service is bad, then expect you to be all peaches and cream and help them find exactly what it is they’re looking for…and half the time, they don’t even know what they’re looking for…
I’ll stop there…
Can you guess where I work? -_-
December 11, 2007 at 3:31 am #644505It’s in Illinois too. 🙄

oh like the other day I was getting on the highway….and this lady flipped me off and started honking wildly….because I was in my lane….and she wanted to be in it…..so she could get off….like a mile away….
people in Amarillo have this complex….of never wanting anyone to get infront of them….at all….
what is that..
I have no idea!
I had one idiot pass me on the on ramp at Coulter going East down my right side…
I just don’t understand….
Or I’ll get on I 40 first then the person who got on behind me has to fly past me and get in front of me…
December 11, 2007 at 3:37 am #644507I’d say my biggest pet peeve is lying, I hate it when people lie to get out of trouble. I don’t lie, if I screw up, I face the music. Others lie through their teeth and declare themselves squeeky clean, when you know they aren’t. Grrr…it grates.
Anyway, that and about 3/4 of the already mentioned things. 🙂

December 11, 2007 at 3:39 am #644508ugh…I had one that pulled on the highway…across 3 lanes and then get all kinds of mad at me….for honking…when they almost hit me…..
and then try to follow me when I get off the highway….
Psycho freaks….
December 11, 2007 at 3:44 am #644509PEOPLE THAT DRIVE WHILE TALKING ON THEIR CELL PHONES…. came up behind one car swirving in the right hand lane going slow and when I pass her she is ON THE CELL PHONE!
One teenage girl totalled 3 cars from texting and driving 50 through a residental… WOW!
December 11, 2007 at 3:56 am #644510My big one is parents who let their kids scream/run/misbehave at important events or places that are supposed to be quiet. Like libraries, the movies, plays, graduations… I love to see kids in all these places, but parents just need to take them out when they cry or act up.
December 11, 2007 at 4:20 am #644511All of the above!
– People that don’t get off their cellphones in public. I don’t care if they talk it up in private/in their homes/ in their PARKED cars, but get off the darn phone if it’s not an emergency when you’re in a store, trying to check out, driving, etc…
– Outdoor cats. (to be fair unrestrained dogs running loose fits in here)
– Folks that think that any pet, large, small, with fins or feathers- is disposable. I ran into this a lot working at pet shops. “It’s only a XXX dollar (fish/hamster/parakeet), if it dies I’ll just get another”. I’ll also lump in folks that will get a pet knowing they won’t or not caring to take care of it to the best of their ability.

This is a huge one for me. There are so many parents that seem to either not care or can’t be bothered to have some responsibility for their child’s behavior!

My art: featherdust.comDecember 11, 2007 at 4:25 am #644513Gah!! those are the ones that irk me the most. They claim that by disaplinig their child they are committing child abuse 😕
People who don’t shovel their sidewalks and let them become sheets of lump, slick ice that are major hazards to those of us who use them. 😡
December 11, 2007 at 4:30 am #644514Cell phones in resturants. When did it become a law you have to answer the phone when you’re eating? I remember when it was nice to go out to eat, because someone ALWAYS had to call when you ate at home. 🙄

one that kind of goes with it….when they let the kids out to play…but never ever go outside to watch them….
there used to be some people that live across the street they would put the little girl outside and lock the door and leave her….
one day I came home from work and there were cops everywhere….I got scared and thought someone had kidnapped the little girl or she got hit by a car or something….because she was always locked out…I’d say she was three…or four….she’d come over to the house several times…..just ringing the bell because she wanted this or that…(horrible manners)….but they just left her so that’s prolly why…
anyway…the cops were there because someone finally got tired of seeing her locked out…they called CPS and everything….
sad thing is….they were completely gone and moved out within 2 days….people are weird
December 11, 2007 at 4:34 am #644516Wow…What parenting. 🙄 👿
December 11, 2007 at 4:57 am #644517That goes on A LOT here… while driving around I’ll see 4 year olds walking down the street by themselves… 🙁 My girls are old enough to play outside without me by their sides BUT I do step outside and check on the all the time! They hate it but oh well.
Another pet peeve… Seeing people drive around with a child in their lap… NO seat belt, No child seat… just in their lap… toddlers and babies. 👿
December 11, 2007 at 5:00 am #644518All of the above.
People who get on the escalator, going up or down, doesn’t seem to matter and then stop when they get off so that everyone behind them have to go around. Why the hell couldn’t you decide where you wanted to go beforehand??
People who don’t turn their cell phones off at the movies, plays, etc. You’re not that important…if it’s an emergency, they’ll leave a message.
People that just park their cars at the entrance to the mall or store, *since they’ll only be a minute*, we all had to find parking spaces, so should you.
Just people that feel they’re entitled to extra consideration by us ordinary fold because they have a better car, bigger house, more money…more whatever.
