I have a German Shepherd named “Ende”
A tuxedo cat named “Midnight” (after a race car)
A brown tabby named “Rain” (cuz she popped out on a really wet day)A Hypo Miami Cornsnake named “Irwin” (if you have to ask me about that one, you don’t watch enough Animal Planet).
My parents have an all-black cat named “Thirteen”. Best little lover-cat I have ever seen. Shame he really prefers the outdoors.

The beige hooded rat is Socrates (he was named after the rat in ‘Willard’), or Sake. The dove hooded one is Nibbles, or just Nibs- named so for the love-bite he gave my husband on the lip when we were picking him out, and ended up being what made us choose him.My corn snake;
His name is Fluffy, or Fluffus.And finally, my tabby;
Her name is Isabel, but she also goes by Izzy, Izzy-Face, Butt (dont ask me why, I dont know lol), Muffin, Muffin-top, Pancake or Bump.December 4, 2007 at 10:24 pm #639394We call Andromida “fuzzbutt” alot of the time. π

So as you can see I was fated to name my fish Dan.
I would help but I am just to tired to get out of bed today~

I sure like the looks of his terrarium, thoughDecember 5, 2007 at 7:31 pm #639399drag0nfeathers wrote:I had a rat named Socrates too at one point. I also had one I named Nickodemous from the Secret of Nimh.
I just watched The Secret of Nimh two days ago- my sister came up to visit and we were ‘reliving our childhood’ through old nostalgic films. That was a pretty dark one for a kids movie- holds up really well too, and that would be a good name for a rat.

I sure like the looks of his terrarium, thoughHaha well my husband picked it out- and it started with a fawn we have- taxidermied- he was stillborn and we gave him a good home. (some people find it sad, but for me it just means coyotes arn’t chewing on him) anyway he was nicknamed Speedy. So when we got our snake just a month after we bought Speedy, he thought it would fun to continue the ironic names, so thats why we ended up with a snake named Fluffy. Hes quite a bit bigger now than he is in the photo though. He was just a baby then.
December 5, 2007 at 7:39 pm #639400I like the name Fluffy for the snake…I also liked Fluffy the Beta. Yah, I’m weird. π
VB, is your avatar a picture of you and Fluffy? Love the pink hair!

I like the name too (obviously). It would be obnoxious to me if it weren’t something ironic.
And I wish that was me with Fluffy in that picture haha. But that is the exact kind of snake that fluffy is- snow albino cornsnake. And I would love to have pink hair, but I cant since I’ve dyed my hair black for so long, Id have to strip out all of the color (a very long, risky process- especially for naturally curly hair) to be able to dye it anything else.
I just posted a picture of myself in the photo thread at the top of the page for clarification. πDecember 5, 2007 at 9:04 pm #639402Thanks for the info…I’ll check out your pix in the other thread. My daughter wants to dye her (light brown) hair black…I told her basically what you said about changing it back…it might be easier to shave your head and start over. π My current color is (paint the town) red.

Yeah just make sure she knows its next to impossible to get out without damaging your hair, before she does it. I like my hair black, so its not a big deal for me, but there are times where I’d like a change but cant do it. And I actually thought about shaving my head and letting it all grow out, but I dont think I could face myself at night/let my husband look at me when the wig would come off.
And I love red hair- natural or not. That would be my next choice after black.December 6, 2007 at 3:24 am #639404I’ll tell her, but she won’t listen, I’m sure. π π Black is my next choice (someday).
December 6, 2007 at 8:12 pm #639405I was colouring my hair for a couple of years but it is just too much of a pain in the a** to maintain. I have black hair naturally and was dying it red. Had to do it once a month or you get patchy. Can’t be bothered anymore. I figure I’ve earned all the gray hair I have. π
