Well, nick names for my current boys: Not Danny (Romeo comes when I call Danny), Stinky, Jealousy (is that spelled right?, Romeo gets really jealous over attention given to Danny), Picky, Sukems, and Mush Buckets

Previous pets: Balshazar, Bally (black dragon, type of goldfish) Black Magic, Blacky
Wrinkles, Garbage Can (named by Mom, He had them when we got him πŸ™„ She still insists we named him)
Many other pets but, they had not so intersting names.

Not mine, but, dogs I knew:
    Maggie and D.O.G
    Caliko
Maxine (not abnormal… but, it was a male)
    Salt and Pepper
    Suki
    Jade
    Trinity
    Big Guy
    Sugar
Shadow (since he was scared of his own shadow, litterally)
    Many, many more

    Fish:
    Charlie — ten lb. koi
    Bobber — enormous goldfish
Sango, Shinju, Koryu, and Hakkai — smaller koi

      Dogs:
Scarlet: German Shepard/Black Lab- when I first got her, she whined so much, but still persevered (she was a shelter puppy), so it was fitting she’d be named after Scarlet O’Hara who had the same characteristics.
Dice: Beagle- named after a Puppy in your Pocket beagle toy
Bruno: German Shepard- named by the person who gave him to us.

      Squirrel:
Squeakers– named after the squirrel in the Serendipity book.

      Rabbits:
Toni: Dwarf – was adopted and the original owner named it Tonita but didn’t know he was a male >.> so I altered it a bit.
Loki: Mini Lop – named after Matt Damon’s character in “Dogma” who is named after the Norse God of Mischief.

      Beta fish:
Fluffy– because I thought it was amusing to name him that.

      My sister’s birds:
      Basil-Green Conure, Pooka-Blue Crowned Conure

      Family Gerbils:
      Some of them:
Super Duper Maker Shaker Baker Mars Bars (My sister named him), Gali, Pic, Logan

      Family Fish:
      Some of them:

I forgot about the geese we raised when I was little! 😯

We had a really cool white goose and her name was Downy. She kept trying to hatch her eggs (no gander) so we bought 3 goslings and stuffed them under her while she was ‘setting’ on her nest. She raised them and they were named Snap, Crackle, and Pop! πŸ˜†

They were so tame that we would all jump in the old car–geese, too–and drive down the steep hill to the Colorado river (in Austin, TX). We’d all go swimming, and when it was time to go, we hollered at Downy and her brood. They would swim back to us, waddle back to the car, climb in the back floorboard, and up the hill we would go!

They were really good ‘watchdogs’, too! Way louder than our ‘regular’ guardians… πŸ˜€

Sweet! I’ve always enjoyed names, and I remember the animals’ before I can remember the humans’. I’m always saying, “you’re so-and-so’s mom/dad, aren’t you?”

That’s neat. I didn’t know geese would take directions like that.

That is a really neat story about the geese. Cute names, too. πŸ˜†

I also like the beta named Fluffy. πŸ˜‰

Geese love playing ‘follow the leader’. Watch the movie “Fly Away Home”–they did the same thing.

I love it because it brings back lots of childhood memories–Snap and Pop were Canada geese, too! πŸ˜€

                    CATS

                    Zinc
                    Chiger (cheetah/tiger)
                    Mama
                    Hazel
                    Smudge
Sprite (may be lost, haven’t seen her in a while, sadly)
                    Avalanche (trust me, it fits)
Scooter (doesn’t fit, but was his name when adopted)

                    DOGS

Jewel (she was ridiculously tiny when a pup)
                    Ein
                    Isabeau
                    Sierra

                    FERRETS

                    Zoro (adopted name)
Snow (was Snow White, help me, again adopted name)
Buddy aka Wardancer (sister in law named him Buddy, we renamed him Wardancer which fits better)
Daphne (cool ferret, lost her last year to old age)

HORSES (mentioning them, even though I currently don’t have any anymore, and two are deceased)

Cricket (best mare I’ve ever known, and I still have a huge hole in my heart where she used to be)

D.L. Survivor (registered name) aka Dancer, now lives with my brother, but I see him all the time.

Cinnamon (great mare, mainly got her to be companion horse for Dancer after Cricket died, she passed away 2 years ago)

So that’s it for pets for now, with luck next summer we will be welcoming horses once again into our family.

                    Kyrin
