That’s only a small portion of what my brain comes up with. x_X I don’t know why my imagination torments me so. Even in my earliest memories I remember being irrationally afraid. Like as a small child if I used the upstairs bathroom, I’d wash my hands, then flush the toilet and RUN downstairs, because if I wasn’t downstairs by the time the toilet flushed “it” would come after me. I had no idea what “it” was, even then.

I also talk to my dog. I often tell him how smart he is to not only understand dogaleese but english as well. (is dogaleese a word?)

If it wasn’t already, now it is. πŸ˜›

After reading this thread I realized I’m not so weird. πŸ˜‰

I talk to my house plants and my Windstones. (Yes, put a face on a inanimate object and I bond to it – and I have no pets). Of course, the talking to Windstone thing could have been a offshoot of talking to my stuffed animals when I was a kid. I don’t collect stuffed animals anymore, but I do collect Windstones….

I can’t stand to wear jewelry around my fingers or wrists. It feels like it gets in the way. However, oddly I am attracted to anything shiny (metallic-mirror like or glass like sun catchers). Does that make me part squirrel? (I am definetely part Pack-rat.)

I can relate to Emeralds shopping when stressed thing. I do that, but I’ve been trying to change, but it’s been hard.

I also can’t stand to have sticky hands. (Dirt I can put up with if I’m doing something thats a dusty/dirty job.) I think it comes from the idea that I can’t pick up or touch anything else without getting it all sticky – so I can’t wait to clean off so I don’t have to worry about it.

The hardest thing I’ve had to learn in life is controlling my imagination. If I let it, it runs wildly rampant and that’s not an exaggeration! I could scare the bejabbers out of myself very easily. When I was 7 or 8 years old, I spent most of my free time trying to see down the hallway that was reflected in the bathroom mirror. I wanted to know who lived down that hall? did my reflection have a family that was different from mine? did her outdoors look different from my outdoors? did her teacher at school look different from mine? what happened if I came home from school and my reflection didn’t? would my reflection ALWAYS show up? what if she didn’t?…. etc. On the plus side of that imagination, I always got excellent grades in writing and I was NEVER bored πŸ˜€

I think that makes you a magpie. πŸ˜€ They are very attracted to everything shiny.
Hmm.. kind of reminds me of one of my friends who buys or orders everything if it’s pretty and shiny.

I talk to my animals, but especially my Hedgies. When I give them a bath, I wrap them up in a towel and stick my face close and whisper to them that they are “my little hedgie burrito”. Thorn especially gets mad and shakes his head and tucks his chin down. I am sure he thinks I am nuts.

Chewy (the cat) and I talk to each other all the time and it’s usually having to do with food, and my thinking that she has had quite enough.

I only take my watch off to take a bath.

When I drag race, I must have the stereo up very high, even if it is stupid music πŸ™‚
Most people turn their radios off to race, but it helps me concentrate.

The Maroon Camaro in front of me is my husband. And yes that is the BeeGees πŸ™‚

Yup, Magpie. They reeally like shiny stuff. That’s why my jewelry company is called Laughing Magpie; because I appeal to the magpie in people πŸ˜€

I’m another that feels naked without a watch, but I did start wearing one when I was 7… I take it off to bathe, that’s it. I’ve been told I’m not “normal” too, because I wear it on my right wrist (apparently Right-handers usu. wear it on their left??).

The main quirk of mine that comes to mind is when I eat. I don’t count how many times I chew [anymore], but I do have to even things out in my mouth. I’ll take a bite and chew all on one side, then the next bite HAS to be on the other side, and keep alternating. I’ll take a smaller bite in order to finish evenly. And if it’s colored candy, then the colors have to be even too. If I have an odd piece, I’ll break it in half. I’ve tried not looking at the candy at all, but I feel oddly unsatisfied when I’m done. πŸ˜•

I talk to my pets and I talk to myself. lol

My job requires me to be social, but outside of work I am pretty quiet and keep to myself. I don’t like crowds…I get claustrophobic. I like the three foot rule and get antsy when strangers invade my space. I always know where the emergency exits are, so I can escape if I have to.

I talk to my Aircraft. I tell them what lovlies they are and how good they are and how those silly pilots just dont know how to treat them and thats why they break. I think it keeps them flying.

sounds like you do some flying of your own!!hahahehe

When I lived in TX in an apartment with Vantid, we had a snail that lived in our shower. We suspect he came in when Vantid brought her dog crate in from outside to wash it down (we didn’t have a hose or a hookup for one at this apartment). He was terribly cute and I loved seeing him every time I went to shower. I would give him a little piece of veggie to eat sometimes. πŸ˜‰
