My thoughts too, Hoofer. Good to see you!
And you!
I’m still here, I just don’t neigh that much. 🙂
July 1, 2009 at 12:30 am #771915Seems to have worked! Can’t believe it! I wonder if there’s a limit to how often you can do it… seems too good to be true. Can’t believe all those dollars wasted on it 🙄 👿
July 1, 2009 at 9:12 pm #771916I just got an “official” email from PayPal regarding “The new way to send money”, so I guess it’s something they just started.
https://cms.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/?cmd=_render-content&content_ID=marketing_us/send_money_fees
I like the fact that when fees do apply, the sender can decide who pays them.
July 1, 2009 at 9:44 pm #771917Actually, where the seller chooses who pays the fees is if it is outside the U.S. from what I read on the link, if I am reading it correctly??? Oh I see, it says sender decides, I have never seen that option when I have sent money, but I would never choose to pay fees myself, LOL!

If I’m reading that right, feeless only applies if you use a Paypal balance or bank account to send money. I usually pay/send money with a credit card so no one’s really going to benefit from my transactions 😆July 1, 2009 at 9:49 pm #771919That could be, I don’t use credit card, I have used PP balance or bank account, so maybe that’s why it worked, so it has been an instant payment. 😀
July 1, 2009 at 9:59 pm #771920I was thinking it would be nice to pay the fees for things like the benefit raffles or donations to charity. Laurie always posts how much they get charged in fees, as well as how much the benefit clears. It’s never a small amount:-/

Reverse Paypal charges are fine with me for benefit raffles and such 🙂
July 1, 2009 at 11:08 pm #771922Well, again, I think as long as it’s not done with CC, there is a reason you can choose under Personal payments to send for the Benefit Raffles…I don’t recall all you can choose, but I think there is one for “donation”. If nothing else, you can select “other” and then I think you put in what the “other” is, in the blank line. As usual, you would put Benefit Auction in the subject line, so she knows what it is for. 😀
July 1, 2009 at 11:09 pm #771923Yeah, I saw how Paypal took $63 from the second raffle in fees.
July 1, 2009 at 11:12 pm #771924Actually, I just looked at Pay Pal under the “Send Money” tab, and selected “Personal”. It looks like either “Gift” or “Other” would be most appropriate in the case of the benefit raffle payments. 😀
July 1, 2009 at 11:33 pm #771925Yup, I chose “personal” and “other” for the Husky raffle.
July 1, 2009 at 11:59 pm #771926I don”t know if Laurie has been on this thread…do you think maybe the instructions should be updated on her Benefit Raffle thread? I did not get into the Raffle myself–I don’t know when it ends.
July 2, 2009 at 12:09 am #771927It ends on July 8, so there’s still time to send her donations. You could let her know, 49ER, by steering her to this thread, or mentioning it on the raffle thread.
July 2, 2009 at 12:27 am #771928All of the instructions for the Raffle are on the first page, so I checked the Paypal site, to get specific instructions, and sent a PM, but it looks like it will have to be updated on Page 1 of that thread. I am going to bump that post, and say “see post about Paypal fees” also, I think. 😀
