So I’ve had this PYO wolf sitting around for a few months, no idea what to do with it. Finally a couple days ago I decided to paint it! It’s based off of my cat Panda who died two years ago. (she was only a year old when she was diagnosed with FIP, and put to sleep a couple days later)
She could be better, but I think she came out pretty good for a first try. ^_^
edit: I’ll be adding any new pyos I do to this thread as well. =)
September 21, 2007 at 7:52 pm #619229At first when I saw the bright yellow wings I wasn’t interested, but after seeing a few more angles… I really like the coloring!!! Great job! I hope you continue working with the PYOs, appears you’ve got a bit of talent up your sleeve 😉
September 21, 2007 at 8:00 pm #619230Thanks! She’s actually not *that* bright; my camera just has a strong flash. She’s very pretty in person. 🙂

ooooooooo. you know I saw the SN and it crossed my mind that it sounded familier! hi!
September 22, 2007 at 2:31 am #619234I really like her 😀 A little shading on the wings would be a great way to give them some pop and variation, should you decide to tweak her a bit more. That is a really pretty yellow, btw. This is a really cute idea!
September 22, 2007 at 4:45 am #619235That’s a neat idea. I agree – a bit of shading on the wings would really perk her up, but other than that she’s lovely.
September 22, 2007 at 5:27 am #619236She’s lovely, I would suggest you antique the wings using the same orange color you used on the body.
A good way to antique with acrylics is to get the retarder, mix it into the color you want to antique with, brush it on and then wipe it off with a lightly damp lint free cloth in sections, so it doesn’t dry on you.
Anyway, by antiquing the wings with the orange, you will tie them into the body better, and then everything will look integrated.
looks great though, calico markings are always tough.

October 16, 2007 at 6:38 pm #619238I finished my first Kirin today. 😀 I’m not sure what to call him though…

October 17, 2007 at 5:27 am #619239He’s making me think of something, but I can’t figure out what. An illustration in a book from way back, I think.
Anyway, he’s cute.October 17, 2007 at 5:29 am #619240Greater Basilisk wrote:He’s making me think of something, but I can’t figure out what. An illustration in a book from way back, I think.
