EDIT: Pictures added.
Asking $40 + shipping (retailed for $76.50).
I have an extra Paper Tiger windstone that I am looking to sell. He came from a store that was going out of business (the owner was retiring after 30+ years) that seems to have only ever carried this one sculpture, so I rescued all three!). One I am keeping, one is spoken for by a friend, and then there is this last one.
Disclaimer: He is NOT mint. He was purchased this way. This one had many fleabites and a couple of small chips from being bumped in the store (this gift shop was packed with stuff!) and I suspect, a previous buyer. I have repaired with apoxie sculpt the chips and a missing claw that needed repair and painted the flea bites and chips, so he is not new.
Also, I noticed, after I bought him that someone had repaired him and must have returned him to the store, which I couldn’t see under the store lighting, but next to the other two and in true sunlight, I noticed when I got home.
His tail has been broken off, but shows only as a tiny hairline where he was superglued by whoever returned him to the store. This is NOT noticeable unless you are right on top of him, as it was a clean break and was not noticeable when I was looking and turning him over in the store. The thin line that was noticeable before has been painted over to match.
He does not have a tag and he did not come with his original box (none of them had a box). As he was only purchaced for $40 (with the going out of business sale), I am only asking $40 + shipping (double boxed and well packed of course).

July 7, 2008 at 8:14 pm #717090Did you ever find a home for this one?
July 7, 2008 at 11:33 pm #717091He’s still cute. I wish I had the $40 to spare. Right now I’m trying to convince my roomate that if he really wants garlic bread, $1 for the bread, plus the butter which we have anyway, plus the $2.50 for the garlic (most of which won’t get used) is a hell of alot cheaper then buying premade stuff for $5. And it isn’t even that good. 🙄

I hear that. I wish my daily commute wasn’t so long with the price of gas now. Hmmmm… garlic bread. You could always buy a small container of minced garlic, or a tube of garlic paste. Something like that would last you quite a while if you keep it in the fridge. You could use it to add to pasta, or mashed potatoes, soup, garlic bread later, etc.
