Hi Melody,
this is not a question but a comment.
I was looking at the GOLD SPOT MALE GRIFFIN #1 I won and the one being auctioned at this very moment (GOLD SPOT MALE GRIFFIN #2) and I must say that the beak on mine looks so much better than #2. #2 looks huge without the dark shading at the end. I trully love them with the dark shading.GOLD SPOT MALE GRIFFIN #1___________________________________________GOLD SPOT MALE GRIFFIN #2

Oh BDW…. Congrats on your Male griffin…He`s gorgeous… 😆

February 11, 2008 at 6:52 am #663731Congrats on your griffin, BDW. You’re right about the beak – but they’re both pretty.
February 11, 2008 at 1:16 pm #663732I actually prefer the second one the best. He has a nice orangish tone to his cheeks and throat area. I see what you’re saying about the beak. The lighting in the photograph may be exaggerating it a bit though. The gallery pic is much more appealing, and I tend to think that pic is more accurate than the ebay one.

Some folks seem to dislike the brown shading. Can’t please everyone!February 11, 2008 at 10:31 pm #663734I’m one of them! I personally do not like the dark shading at the tip of the beak. Though the one BDW won doesn’t seem to be very dark on the tip. It looks very well blended, and subtle.
They are both very pretty though.
February 11, 2008 at 10:43 pm #663735*shrugs* both are nice to me…I cant really say I’m partial either way…
February 11, 2008 at 10:46 pm #663736On these, I like the brown shading.
February 11, 2008 at 11:27 pm #663737Well… I’m going to be the new owner of the #2 Gold Spot Male Griffin. 😀 So we’ll see how he looks in person. I think he’s very nice from the pics… but I’m sure he will be a whole lot better in person. I’m a sucker for those orange eyes <3

Melody, I know you can’t please everyone. I just wanted you to know my view on it. 😳

That is what I like the subtle shade not too dark. 😀 The ones that are too dark don’t look as nice.
February 19, 2008 at 6:52 pm #663739Is it just me or the stones in the necklace are not the same, on the two griffins? :squeak:
